First, identify which CT model you are comparing
Bajaj’s current CT-range material presents the CT 110X. The engine figures used for this article come from Bajaj’s official CT 100/CT 110 BS VI owner’s manual, which covers the older CT 110. Treating a CT 110X brochure, manual or dealer listing as if it described the older CT 110 can produce a false comparison. The current CT 110X price shown by Bajaj is also not a price for the older CT 110.

These numbers are manufacturer specifications for identified versions. They do not prove that one bike accelerates faster in every situation, returns better fuel economy or feels more comfortable to every rider.
Engine and performance: where the CT 110 leads on paper
Displacement and torque
The CT 110’s 115.45 cc engine is 15.86 cc larger than the Platina 100’s 99.59 cc unit. Its rated torque is 9.81 Nm at 5,000 rpm, compared with 8.3 Nm at 5,500 rpm for the Platina 100. Those figures indicate a specification advantage for the CT 110, particularly for a buyer who values the engine’s stated pulling output.
However, a torque number is not a complete description of road performance. Gearing, vehicle mass, throttle calibration, rider weight, gradient and maintenance all affect how a motorcycle feels. The cited material contains no independent acceleration, hill-climb or overtaking test, so it would be inaccurate to promise a particular time or speed advantage.

Maximum power is 8.6 PS at 7,000 rpm for the CT 110 and 8.2 PS at 7,500 rpm for the Platina 100. The difference is small in the context of everyday commuter riding. It is still a genuine published advantage for the CT 110, but not a reason by itself to ignore the age and condition of a used example.

Transmission information
The older CT 110 manual specifies a four-speed, all-down transmission. The captured current Platina 100 overview does not expose complete transmission details, so this comparison does not claim a direct gearbox winner. Check the exact Platina variant’s current manual or ask the dealer to confirm the control pattern before purchase.
Fuel economy: why there is no evidence-backed winner
Bajaj’s Platina 100 page uses fuel-efficiency language, but it does not provide a directly comparable independently measured result in the cited material. No named, dated test statistic with a stated method was established for either motorcycle. Consequently, this article cannot responsibly say that the Platina 100 gives a particular number of kilometres per litre or that it definitively beats the CT 110.
Real consumption varies with traffic, speed, tyre pressure, load, servicing, fuel quality and riding style. - Refill to the same level and divide kilometres travelled by litres added.
- Repeat the calculation once more. Treat a single short trip as too noisy for a buying decision.
This is an owner comparison, not a laboratory test, but it is more relevant to your route than an unattributed mileage claim.

Comfort and daily usability
Bajaj promotes the Platina 100 with an electric start, a long soft seat and suspension comfort. Those are manufacturer claims. They describe intended equipment and positioning, not an independent head-to-head comfort result.
The CT 110 and Platina 100 should therefore be judged by a test ride on the roads you actually use. Check whether your knees, wrists and lower back remain relaxed after a sustained ride; whether the seat lets you move without pressure points; how easily you can place both feet at a stop; and whether the suspension settles without repeated bouncing over your area’s common bumps.
Test-ride checklist
- Start the motorcycle from cold and listen for abnormal rattles, smoke or difficult starting.
- Ride over a familiar rough patch slowly, then at normal commuting speed.
- Try several stops and restarts to assess the starter, clutch take-up and low-speed balance.
- Check mirror visibility, switch reach and the effort needed to operate the brakes and clutch.
- Repeat the ride with your usual passenger if two-up use is important.
Do not convert a short dealer ride into a universal statement that one model is more comfortable. Fit and road surface are rider-specific.
Price and availability in India
Platina 100 price
Bajaj’s Platina 100 page displayed a starting price of ₹72,942 ex-showroom, Delhi when accessed on 13 October 2026. “Starting” means the figure may apply to a particular variant, and ex-showroom excludes registration, insurance, road tax, handling charges and other on-road items. Delhi pricing is not a nationwide on-road quote.

CT 110 pricing
No current new-bike price for the older CT 110 is established by the cited official material. A used seller’s asking price is not comparable with the Platina’s ex-showroom figure: it must reflect registration status, age, kilometres, ownership history, consumables and immediate repair needs.
Do not use the current CT 110X figure as a substitute. Bajaj’s CT-range page showed ₹74,930 starting ex-showroom, Delhi for the CT 110X when accessed on 13 October 2026. That is a different model and should not be presented as the older CT 110’s price.

- Confirm the model and variant. Ask the dealer to write “Platina 100” and the exact variant on the quotation.
- Check the current ex-showroom figure. Use the ₹72,942 Delhi listing only as a dated reference, then obtain your city’s current price.
- Calculate the on-road total. Separate registration, insurance, taxes and accessories so you can compare quotations.
- Use Bajaj’s official booking route or an authorised dealer. Confirm the booking amount, cancellation terms, expected delivery and invoice details in writing.
- Inspect the delivered motorcycle. Match the chassis and engine numbers to the documents, check for transport damage, verify the manufacturing date and ensure the owner’s manual and warranty paperwork are supplied.
- Complete the running-in and service schedule. Follow the current manual for break-in limits, fluid checks and service intervals rather than relying on advice for another Bajaj model.
How to evaluate a used CT 110
The CT 110’s specification advantage only matters if the individual motorcycle is healthy. Take the bike and its documents to a mechanic who is independent of the seller, and budget for repairs before comparing its price with a new Platina.

Online specifications cannot establish the parts supply, labour quality or waiting time in your particular town. That verdict is about purchase context, not a claim that the Platina has better real-world mileage or that the CT 110 is more comfortable. Those questions require a like-for-like ride and fuel-use check on specific motorcycles.
