Current listed price: the Chetak C2501 (the current product-page name for the C25) is shown at ₹99,802 ex-showroom Bengaluru on Chetak’s live product page. That is a Bengaluru ex-showroom figure, not a nationwide on-road price. Your final amount will change with city taxes, registration and insurance, so request a written local quotation before booking.
Bajaj launched the C25 at ₹91,399 ex-showroom Bengaluru on 14 January 2026. A 19 January showroom announcement quoted ₹91,399 ex-showroom Delhi and offered the first 10,000 customers an early-bird benefit of ₹4,299, making the effective launch price ₹87,100. Those were dated launch terms; they should not be used as the current price.

What the Chetak C25 is called now
Bajaj’s April 2026 portfolio communication uses the series name C 25 and the variant name C 2501. The live retail page is titled Chetak C2501, so shoppers may see “C25”, “C 25” and “C2501” used for the same entry-level scooter. When you ask a dealer for a quotation, use “Chetak C2501 (C25)” and ask which software and TecPac configuration is included.

The model is positioned as a compact urban electric scooter. In Bajaj Auto’s launch statement, Eric Vas, President – Urbanite Business, described the intended use as shorter trips and tight streets while retaining Chetak’s “solidity, sturdiness and reliability.” You can read the full launch announcement on Bajaj Auto’s 14 January 2026 release.

Current price versus the launch price

The two January announcements used different city bases, so their figures are not contradictory nationwide prices. The Bengaluru figure currently displayed on the product page is the number to use as your starting point, while the launch amounts are useful only for understanding how the model’s pricing has changed.
How to get the real on-road amount
- Choose the city in which the scooter will be registered and request a C2501 quotation from an authorised Chetak outlet.
- Ask the dealer to list ex-showroom price, registration charges, insurance, any state incentive, handling or documentation fees, and optional accessories separately.
- Check whether the quotation includes TecPac, because several advertised functions are package-dependent.
- Confirm the validity date of the quote; taxes, insurance premiums and promotional benefits can change after the quote is issued.
Chetak’s own FAQ says on-road pricing varies with city-specific taxes, insurance and registration. Use the official C2501 page for the live ex-showroom listing, then treat the dealer’s itemised quotation as the purchase figure.
Range: what “113 km IDC” means in practice
Bajaj lists a 113 km IDC range for the C2501. IDC is the Indian Driving Cycle test figure supplied by the manufacturer; it is not an independently measured promise that every rider will travel 113 km between charges. The same official material says actual range depends on riding conditions.

Traffic speed, acceleration, rider and passenger load, gradients, tyre pressure, ambient temperature and use of electrical functions can all change consumption. Plan your commute with a reserve rather than dividing the IDC number by your preferred daily distance. For example, a route that is technically shorter than the claimed figure may still need a midday or overnight charging plan if it includes sustained faster riding, hills or a heavy load.
No independent range test or usage survey is established for this model in the published material. If range is decisive, ask a dealer for a demonstration on a route resembling yours and record the starting and ending battery readings under comparable conditions.

The 0–80% figure is the useful planning number for topping up during a normal day. The brochure’s 0–100% time is a full-charge specification, so do not compare it directly with a rival’s partial-charge claim without checking the percentage used. Ask the outlet where the charger is stored and how it is intended to be carried or connected, particularly if your parking space is away from a domestic socket.

Top speed and the model-year change
Current 2026 C2501 material lists a 60 km/h top speed. Bajaj’s April 2026 portfolio update says this rose from the 55 km/h figure used in launch-era material. The 55 km/h number therefore describes the original launch communication, not the current specification you should use when comparing scooters.

A 60 km/h ceiling suits urban arterial roads and short suburban links, but it does not turn the C2501 into a high-speed highway scooter. Check the speed limits and traffic conditions on your regular route, and leave a margin for merging and overtaking rather than planning to ride continuously at the maximum.

The 25-litre boot is one of the C2501’s practical strengths for city errands, but “helmet storage” on the product page should not be read as a guarantee that every shell shape or size will fit. Take your own helmet, if possible, and place it in the actual scooter before paying for accessories or finalising the booking.

TecPac: which features are optional or package-dependent?
Official Chetak material associates several functions with TecPac on the C2501. The April portfolio update marks hill hold and ride modes as “with TecPac”; the current product page also presents Eco and Sports with TecPac. Music control and guide-me-home lights are likewise identified as TecPac features.

Do not assume that a feature shown in a Chetak family advertisement is standard on every variant. The April update covers several Chetak models, and equipment that is standard on a C30 or C35 should not automatically be treated as standard on the C2501. Have the salesperson mark each included feature on the order form.

The current C2501 page lists six colours:
- Ocean Teal
- Classic White
- Racing Red
- Misty Yellow

Use the live Chetak C2501 page for current product photographs and its 360-degree view. Screen rendering, lighting and paint finish can make a colour look different from a showroom vehicle. Names, images and stock can change, so confirm that your selected colour is available in your city before making the booking.

Warranty and ownership checks
The official product page lists a three-year or 50,000-kilometre warranty, whichever applies first. Warranty terms can include conditions for scheduled servicing, battery handling and excluded damage. Ask the seller for the current written warranty booklet and clarify whether the coverage starts on registration, delivery or another recorded date.
- Check the nearest authorised service point and its working hours before purchase.
- Ask how software or TecPac updates are delivered and recorded.
- Confirm what roadside assistance, if any, is included in your city; do not assume it from the warranty headline.
- Read the battery and charger care instructions, including storage and charging recommendations.
How the C2501 fits a real commute
Good match for
- Riders whose daily travel is predominantly urban and within a conservative fraction of the IDC figure.
- Homes or workplaces with a dependable charging point and a predictable overnight charging window.
- People who value a compact footprint, reverse mode and usable under-seat storage over high-speed touring ability.
- Buyers willing to verify TecPac content and local support before signing the order.
Think twice if
- Your routine regularly involves long, fast roads where a 60 km/h maximum leaves little reserve.
- You cannot charge where the scooter is parked and have no reliable alternative.
- You need a guaranteed real-world distance figure; the published 113 km is an IDC manufacturer result, not an independent test.
- You are comparing prices from different cities without separating ex-showroom, registration, insurance and taxes.
Comparing the C2501 with other Chetak variants
The sensible comparison is not just the headline price. Build a table for each model you are considering and fill it from a current quotation and specification sheet:

Because prices and equipment can vary by city and revision, ask the dealer to identify the exact variant code and list every paid pack in writing instead of relying on a family-level brochure image.

- Is this quotation for the Chetak C2501/C25, and what is the quotation’s city and validity date?
- What is the complete on-road total after registration, insurance and applicable local taxes or incentives?
- Is TecPac included, and exactly which ride, hill-hold, music-control and lighting functions will be active?
- Which colour is physically available, and how long will delivery take for a different colour?
- What charger is supplied, where can it be used, and what are the stated 0–80% and full-charge times?
- What warranty document applies to the vehicle, battery and charger, and what service schedule must be followed?
- Can I test the scooter on a route with a hill, a tight turn and the type of traffic I normally ride in?
