The Chetak has a current Bengaluru price, clearly documented equipment and a stated three-year/50,000 km vehicle warranty. E3 offers several Trion battery and range choices, a removable battery on its 108 km version and a prominently advertised connected-services package, but the reviewed official material does not establish a comparable city-specific on-road price. Your commute, charging access, exact variant, local service coverage, warranty wording and a test ride should decide the purchase.
Quick answer: which one should you buy?
Choose the Chetak C2501 when you want a conventional urban scooter format, a published Bengaluru price, 25 litres of stated boot space, front-disc braking and a clearly specified three-year/50,000 km standard warranty. Choose an E3 Trion only after identifying the exact battery variant and obtaining a written local quote; its 108 km, 165 km and 128 km IDC configurations are materially different products, and the official page does not give enough information to rank them against the Chetak on price, charging time or real-world performance.

- Best fit for a short, predictable commute: either can work if the dealer, charging arrangement and warranty support are satisfactory.
- Best-documented specification set: Bajaj Chetak C2501.
- Most choice of claimed range: E3 Trion, because three displayed configurations are offered.
- Decision that cannot be made from brochures: real-world range, reliability, service quality and value for your city.
Models and prices: identify the exact scooter first
The Chetak figures come from two different dated references. Bajaj’s 14 January 2026 launch release announced the C25 at ₹91,399 ex-showroom in Bengaluru. The current C2501 product page, accessed 13 October 2026, lists ₹99,802 ex-showroom in Bengaluru. These are not interchangeable national prices; they describe different points in the product’s pricing history and possibly different page or variant contexts.

The E3 site displays three Trion cards rather than one single specification. Because the reviewed page does not establish a city-specific on-road price, an E3 starting price seen in an indexed comparison result should not be treated as a quotation. Ask a dealer for the exact variant, registration, insurance, taxes, accessories and delivery charges in your city.

Indexed BikeWale comparison results have shown inconsistent Chetak figures, including ₹1,06,775, ₹1,02,926 and ₹1,08,240 across crawls, while an E3 starting figure of ₹99,999 also appears. That variation is why a same-city, same-date written quote is more useful than an aggregator snapshot.
How to request a comparable quote
- Write down the exact name shown on the quotation, including battery size or variant code.
- Request ex-showroom price, registration, insurance, handling, accessories, charger and delivery as separate lines.
- Ask whether the quoted amount is promotional, one-time, finance-linked or valid only on the quotation date.
- Obtain both quotes for the same city and compare the final on-road total, not just the headline price.
Battery, range and charging
Chetak C2501
The current C2501 page lists a 2.5 kWh battery, 113 km IDC range and 0–80% charging in 2 hours 25 minutes. The launch release used the same 113 km claim but stated 55 km/h and 2.25 hours to 80%; quote the number that belongs to the dated source or variant you are considering. The current page also says actual range depends on riding conditions.
E3 Trion choices
E3 presents 108 km, 165 km and 128 km IDC claims. Only the 108 km card is explicitly paired with a 2.3 kWh removable battery in the reviewed material; the 165 km and 128 km cards show 3.0 kWh but do not establish whether their batteries are removable or how long they take to charge. Confirm those points in writing before paying a booking amount.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesIDC is a comparison label, not a commute promise
IDC figures are manufacturer test-cycle claims. Traffic, rider weight, tyre pressure, gradients, payload, speed, temperature, use of headlights and riding mode can move practical distance substantially. Do not divide the claimed range by your route and assume the result is a guaranteed daily buffer. Instead, calculate your round trip, add a reserve for weather and detours, and ask the dealer whether a demonstration scooter can repeat part of that route.

Charging questions that change the decision
- Can you charge at home every night, and is the socket close enough to the parking bay?
- If you live in an apartment, has the association approved a metered connection?
- For the E3 108 km model, can you safely remove and carry the 2.3 kWh battery to a socket?
- For every E3 version, what charger is supplied, what input does it require and is a replacement available locally?
- What happens if charging stops at 80 percent, and does the warranty cover the charger as well as the battery?
Performance, braking and everyday practicality
The C2501 current page lists a 60 km/h top speed. The launch release listed 55 km/h, so check the specification printed on the invoice and the vehicle identification details rather than assuming all C25-labelled scooters are identical. The Chetak launch material also identified hill-hold assist, guide-me-home lighting and disc brakes; the current page specifies a front disc and rear drum arrangement.
The E3 page reviewed for this comparison does not state top speed, brake hardware, wheel or tyre dimensions, gradeability or storage volume. Those omissions do not prove the scooter lacks a feature; they mean a buyer should inspect the actual scooter and request the specification sheet. Storage is particularly important if the scooter must carry a full-face helmet, rain gear or a work bag. The Chetak’s stated 25-litre boot is a concrete benchmark; do not assume the E3 offers equivalent capacity without measuring it.
What to check during a test ride
- Ride over the road surface you use most, including a speed hump and a turn from a stop.
- Test low-speed balance, throttle smoothness and the effort needed to move the scooter by hand.
- Apply both brakes progressively, then check control with a passenger if the dealer permits it.
- Try the stand, seat latch, charging flap, storage compartment and reversing manoeuvre.
- Listen for rattles, inspect panel alignment and verify that the displayed battery percentage changes normally after a short ride.
- Ask to see the exact variant’s instrument display, riding modes and phone-pairing process rather than relying on a higher-spec demonstration unit.
Connected functions and software support
E3 promotes more than 100 connected features, an AI health scan, roadside assistance, smart charging control and real-time diagnostics. These are manufacturer descriptions. Confirm which functions belong to the variant you are buying, whether a subscription or mobile-data plan is required, how long connected services remain active and what happens when the app or network is unavailable.

The Chetak material supplied for this comparison emphasizes hardware and warranty specifications rather than a numbered connected-feature count. Ask the dealer to demonstrate navigation or phone functions, software-update procedures, service alerts and data permissions if those capabilities matter to you. A feature shown in an app is useful only if the scooter, phone, server and local support all work together.

Warranty, service and ownership risk
Chetak warranty
The current C2501 page states a standard warranty of three years or 50,000 km, whichever comes first. Ask for the complete warranty booklet: battery coverage, charger coverage, exclusions for water or accident damage, scheduled-service requirements and the process for transferring ownership. The launch announcement and current product page should not be blended when you compare terms; use the document attached to your invoice.
E3 battery warranty
The E3 variant cards display an eight-year battery-warranty claim. The reviewed page does not establish the applicable kilometre limit, degradation threshold, exclusions, transfer rules or whether the claim applies equally to all three Trion configurations. Have the dealer write those terms on the quotation or provide the warranty document before you compare eight years with the Chetak’s three-year/50,000 km standard vehicle warranty.
Dealer reach matters more than a headline feature
- Locate the nearest authorised workshop and ask who handles high-voltage diagnostics.
- Ask for typical lead times for brake parts, body panels, chargers and battery modules.
- Confirm roadside-assistance territory and whether it includes a flat or depleted battery.
- Find out whether software faults can be diagnosed locally or require shipment to another city.
- Check the process and cost for a battery-health report before the standard warranty ends.
E3 invites shoppers to a Bangalore experience centre and test ride. That is useful for an initial evaluation, but it does not establish workshop availability in another city. A Chetak dealer’s presence near you is also not proof of service quality; call the workshop and ask operational questions before booking.
Running-cost claims: how to use the calculation without being misled
E3’s running-cost illustration assumes 25 use-days per month, petrol at ₹104 per litre, a petrol scooter efficiency of 47 km/litre, electricity at ₹9 per unit and E3 energy use of 28 Wh/km. The resulting savings are scenario calculations built from those assumptions, not an independently verified owner average or a nationwide statistic.

- Buyer's Guide: The seat guard for car seat between seat & console measures 15.75*2.7*1.53", suitable for gaps of 1.43-1.53" in width, please double-check carefully the distance between your seat and the center console before placing an order
- Storage and Filling in One: Differ from traditional single-function gap fillers, gap filler for car incorporates storage function, offers you the convenience of storing phones and various other items, so that you can access them at any time while driving
- Avoid Items Slipping: With the bumps and vibrations of the car, phones, keys may fall into the seat crevices, which is difficult to pick up, and distracts the driver's attention. Car gap seat filler fills gaps seamlessly to create an effective barrier
- Easy to Install: Car side seat gap filler is easy to install, simply insert it into the gap between the seat and the center console, gap seat filler for car can fit tightly without affecting the normal adjustment of the seat and the use of the seat belt
- Premium Material: Crafted from premium EVA material, our car seat side gap filler boasts a combination of wear-resistant, softness&durability. Maintenance is effortless, simply rinse and wipe to quickly clean the dust and debris in corners and crevices
To adapt the illustration, replace every input with your own figures: monthly kilometres, your actual petrol price, the fuel efficiency you observe, your electricity tariff and the scooter’s measured energy consumption. Add insurance, tyres, servicing, parking, financing, battery replacement risk and the value of charging time. A scooter that costs less per kilometre can still be the more expensive choice if its local support is weak or if the quoted purchase price is materially higher.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Which Trion variant should you compare with the Chetak?
Do not compare the Chetak C2501 with the E3 nameplate as if it were one product. The 108 km Trion has a smaller, removable 2.3 kWh battery; the 165 km and 128 km cards show 3.0 kWh. Select the version that fits your parking and daily distance, then compare its written price, warranty and equipment with the C2501.
- Choose the 108 km configuration for investigation if removable charging is essential and your measured daily travel is comfortably below the claimed figure.
- Investigate the 165 km configuration only if its price, charging time, battery warranty terms and physical size suit your use; the higher IDC claim alone does not prove better value.
- Treat the 128 km configuration as a separate choice rather than assuming it has the same equipment as the 165 km card because both show 3.0 kWh.
A practical decision framework
- Measure your route. Record weekday kilometres, passenger use, hills, traffic speed and where the scooter will park.
- Set a usable range target. Keep a reserve instead of planning to consume the entire IDC number every day.
- Confirm charging. Verify socket access, cable reach, battery removal and overnight charging time for the exact model.
- Get written prices. Compare same-city on-road totals for the C2501 and one named Trion configuration.
- Read warranty terms. Record duration, kilometre limits, battery-health thresholds and exclusions.
- Audit support. Call the nearest workshop, ask about diagnostics and parts, and verify roadside assistance.
- Ride both scooters. Use the same rider, route and passenger load where possible.
- Choose the lower-risk fit. If one scooter wins only on a brochure number but loses on charging or support, prefer the one you can operate and maintain reliably.
Common buying mistakes and how to avoid them
Comparing a launch price with a current price
The ₹91,399 C25 launch figure and ₹99,802 C2501 current-page figure are dated Bengaluru ex-showroom references. Label the date and location whenever you use either number.
Treating IDC range as real-world range

Assuming the eight-year battery claim has no conditions
Request the E3 warranty document and check the kilometre limit, degradation threshold and exclusions.
Using an aggregator price as the final answer
Inconsistent indexed values demonstrate why an itemised dealer quote is necessary.
Buying a higher-range variant without checking weight and charging
A larger battery may alter carrying weight, charging arrangements and price. Inspect the physical scooter and charger for the exact Trion card you selected.
Quick wins for a faster PC:
Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Bottom line
The Chetak C2501 is the easier choice to evaluate because its current Bengaluru price, 113 km IDC claim, 60 km/h top speed, 2.5 kWh battery, 0–80% charging time, storage volume, brakes and standard warranty are documented together. The E3 Trion is worth considering when its connected functions or variant choice solve a specific need, but the buyer must close larger information gaps about local price, charging, equipment and warranty conditions. After a same-city quote and back-to-back test ride, buy the scooter with the better service access and a comfortable range reserve—not the one with the biggest brochure number.
