The Autodromo Group B is a motorsport-inspired watch collection, not a rally instrument: its high-contrast dial takes cues from period racing tachometers, and its design recalls the Group B rally era of 1982–1986. The key detail for a prospective owner is the version. Series 1 has fixed lugs and a pass-through nylon strap; Series 2 uses a removable integrated bracelet. Published dimensions and wearing impressions below are specific to the cited reviewers and versions, not first-hand testing.
What the Autodromo Group B is—and what inspired it
Autodromo describes the Group B as an homage to the technical development and exotic materials associated with rallying from 1982 to 1986. The name refers to that period; it does not mean the watch was made for competition use. The brand says the dial was inspired by a period racing tachometer. Independent reviews identify the specific reference as the tachometer in the Lancia 037.
Hodinkee’s 2015 launch coverage quoted Autodromo founder and creative director Bradley Price calling Group B “the last romantic era of motorsport.” The same article reported that rally-car horsepower output doubled over that half-decade; that is Hodinkee’s historical framing, rather than a specification of the watch.
Series 1 and Series 2: the practical difference
The most important distinction is how the watch meets the wrist. Autodromo’s archive describes both versions as using a two-part, 39 mm titanium capsule and a Miyota 9015 automatic movement, but their attachment systems differ.

| Version | Case and dimensions reported | Wrist attachment | What strap changes mean |
|---|---|---|---|
| Group B Series 1 (2015) | Worn & Wound’s original-model review lists 39 mm by 50 mm, 10 mm thick, with a 20 mm lug width; it describes a steel-and-titanium case and sapphire crystal. | Fixed lugs and a single-pass nylon strap, according to Autodromo’s archive. The original review mentions two nylon pass-through straps. | It is not the removable-bracelet arrangement of Series 2. Check the precise strap routing and fit for the Series 1 reference before buying replacements. |
| Group B Series 2 (released 2018) | Worn & Wound’s 2019 review lists 39 mm by 51 mm, 10.2 mm thick, with a 20 mm lug width; it lists sapphire and 50 m water resistance. | Integrated stainless-steel bracelet, removable with a spring bar tool, according to Autodromo’s archive. | The bracelet can be removed to wear the watch on a strap. The reviewer cautions that very thick replacement straps may not clear the case. |
The archive notes subsequent Series 2 editions, so details of a particular dial or release should not be assumed to apply to every example. The small dimension differences above reflect separate review-era descriptions of the original and Series 2, not a controlled comparison of identical production runs.
Series 2 specifications and wearing impressions
For Series 2, Worn & Wound’s January 25, 2019 review gives a 39 mm by 51 mm case, 10.2 mm thickness, 20 mm lug width, Miyota 9015 movement, sapphire lens, stainless-steel bracelet and 50 m water resistance. Those are the figures for the version covered in that review; they should not be treated as guaranteed specifications for every later edition.

Reviewer Ilya Ryvin wrote, “Thanks to the downturned lugs, this watch doesn’t wear like it’s 51-millimeters long—at all.” He also described the case as sitting close to the wrist and the bracelet as wrapping comfortably. These are Ryvin’s impressions, not a claim of hands-on testing by this publication.
Movement, water resistance and the limits of the specs
The official archive identifies the Miyota 9015 automatic movement in both Series 1 and Series 2. Hodinkee’s 2015 launch article reported approximately 42 hours of power reserve for that movement. That is a launch-era reported movement specification, not a measurement of an individual watch’s current performance.

- Chronograph functions with 60 second, 30 minute and 1/10 of a second sub dials; date window between 4:00 and 5:00

The 50 m water-resistance figure appears in Worn & Wound’s reviews of both the original Group B and Series 2. It is a published specification, not a guarantee about a used watch: condition, maintenance and the sealing of an individual example matter. The available sources do not establish a current warranty or the condition of any watch offered for sale.

- Check Lug Width: Choose the same size as your watch lug width. This leather watch band fits standard spring-bar watches and gives 22 mm watches a clean replacement fit
- Vintage Brown Look: The brown leather surface adds a warm, aged tone to your watch, making this brown leather watch band easy to pair with chronograph, field, and vintage-style watches
- Rally-Style Design: The perforated hole layout gives this rally-style watch strap a classic racing-inspired look while reducing the solid contact area on the wrist. It helps the strap feel more relaxed for daily wear and adds a sportier character than a plain leather watch band, especially when paired with panda dial, field, or vintage chronograph watches
- Comfortable Daily Wear: The leather strap has a flexible feel that gradually adapts to the wrist with use. Contrast stitching, leather keepers, and a polished stainless steel buckle create a balanced look that is not too formal or too sporty. This replacement watch band works well for office wear, weekend outfits, travel, and casual daily use
- Natural Leather Character: The leather watch strap may show natural marks, color variation, and a richer surface tone over time, giving each strap a more personal vintage look. Leather bands are not designed for swimming, showering, or long water exposure. If the strap gets lightly wet, wipe it dry and let it air naturally
What to check before choosing a strap
- Confirm the series. The fixed-lug Series 1 and bracelet-equipped Series 2 do not share the same strap-changing setup.
- For Series 2, confirm bracelet removal and fit. Autodromo says a spring bar tool can remove the bracelet; the 2019 review lists a 20 mm lug width, but advises that very thick straps may not clear the case.
- Match details to the exact reference. The archive describes later Series 2 editions, while published dimensions here come from specific review-era watches. Verify the listing’s version and included components before ordering accessories.
