The Ausom L2 Max Dual Motor is built around two 1000W motors, adjustable dual swingarm suspension and a 20.8Ah battery. Ausom claims a maximum speed of 40 mph and range of up to 56 miles, but those figures are manufacturer claims, not independently verified results. Its 73.4 lb listed weight and large folded footprint are just as important to everyday ownership as its power.
What power and range does Ausom claim?
Ausom lists two 1000W brushless motors and 2688W peak power, paired with a 48V, 20.8Ah battery rated at 998.4Wh. The manufacturer comparison page and the L2 Max Dual Motor manual give a maximum dual-motor speed of 40 mph, with speed modes of 18, 31 and 40 mph. The manual and comparison page also list a maximum range of 56 miles. These are claimed maxima; the cited materials do not establish typical real-world speed or range.
Ausom’s product page does not present a fully consistent set of performance figures: it shows a default top speed of 20 km/h, while a marketing image describes 38 mph maximum speed. Its hill-climbing claims also differ by page: the product page lists 34%, while the comparison page lists 46%. Treat the 40 mph figure as the claim stated by the comparison page and manual, and do not treat any one hill figure as settled. Will the suspension and tires make it comfortable?
Ausom describes adjustable damping on the dual swingarm suspension and fits 10×3-inch tubeless tires. The company positions those features as supporting comfort and traction, including on loose surfaces. They explain the design intent, not a measured ride result: the available specifications do not establish how much vibration the scooter absorbs, how it handles a particular surface, or whether it will feel comfortable to a given rider.

How practical is it to carry, store and charge?
Weight and folded size
Ausom’s comparison page lists the dual-motor scooter at 73.4 lb, with folded dimensions of 50.4×27.1×22 inches. That weight and footprint can make carrying it upstairs, lifting it into a vehicle, or finding indoor storage a significant part of the ownership decision. Check the actual route from your parking or storage spot and whether you can lift and maneuver the scooter before buying.
Charging time and charger differences
Charging specifications differ across Ausom materials. The product page lists a 54.6V, 2A charger and a 5.5–12-hour charge time. The comparison page lists a 54.6V, 1.5A charger and a 7–14-hour range. The accessible manual specifies 54.6V/1.5A output, says charging takes 14 hours with one charger or 7 hours with two, and states that only one charger is included. Check the current documentation for your region and model version before purchase rather than assuming the shortest listed time applies.

Ausom’s comparison page gives these specifications and price snapshots for the related models. Prices and availability can vary by region or revision; the page showed the dual-motor model as sold out when accessed in 2026.

The dual-motor version’s higher listed speed and extra motor come with 7.4 lb more listed weight and a higher snapshot price. Both versions are listed with the same maximum range, so the dual-motor model does not have a higher claimed range in this comparison. If carrying weight, storage or cost is a priority, weigh those trade-offs against your need for the dual-motor configuration.

What safety and weather specifications establish—and what they do not
Ausom lists E-ABS with front and rear disc brakes, an IP54 rating and a 287 lb maximum load. Those are specifications, not evidence of a particular stopping distance, safe braking in wet conditions, or legal compliance where you ride. The sources do not establish the scooter’s legal status in any jurisdiction; check local rules, especially before using a vehicle with a manufacturer-claimed 40 mph maximum speed on public roads or paths.

The available materials do not provide an independent named test, controlled range or speed measurement, braking-distance result, or comparative comfort or durability finding. Use the figures to understand the manufacturer’s intended configuration and compare models, not as a promise of what every rider will experience.
