How the two cars differ
VinFast presents the VF MPV 7 as an electric vehicle for families, with three rows and seven seats. Audi’s Vietnam C9 A6 is a five-seat-style sedan format powered by a petrol engine; the cited specifications identify a 1,984 cc turbocharged four-cylinder, a seven-speed S tronic transmission and front-wheel drive. The body style and passenger capacity are the first decision points: the A6 is not an alternative for someone who needs the VF MPV 7’s third row.
The figures below are manufacturer-published specifications for Vietnam-market vehicles, not results from a matched independent test. Audi’s technical sheet is for the 2025 C9 A6; VinFast’s VF MPV 7 figures are from its 2026 launch announcement.

Which is better for family seating and cargo?
Choose the VF MPV 7 if you need three rows
Its seven-seat MPV layout directly addresses family trips that require more passenger capacity. VinFast also publishes a maximum cargo figure of 1,240 L with the rear rows folded. That figure indicates the manufacturer’s stated capacity in a folded-seat configuration; it does not establish how much luggage fits with all seats in use.
Choose the A6 if a sedan suits your passenger needs
The A6’s 4,999 mm length and 2,923 mm wheelbase make it the longer car on the published figures, but length alone does not make it a better family hauler. Audi lists 492 L of cargo space, and the sedan body does not provide the third row offered by the VF MPV 7. Because the makers’ cargo measurement conditions are not shown as equivalent, treat the two litres figures as separate published claims rather than a standardized head-to-head result.

Electric driving versus petrol operation
What VinFast’s range and charging figures mean
VinFast quotes up to 450 km per full charge using the NEDC test cycle, with a 60.13 kWh usable battery. NEDC is a test-cycle figure, not a promise of the distance an owner will cover in everyday Vietnamese driving. The launch announcement also claims a 10–70% fast-charge time of 30 minutes. It does not specify connector details or establish compatibility with a particular home charger, so verify charging equipment and installation requirements with VinFast before purchase.
What Audi’s fuel figure means
Audi’s 2025 Vietnam C9 sheet lists 7.8 L/100 km combined fuel consumption, but says confirmation by Vietnam testing was pending. Use it as a provisional manufacturer-published figure, not a confirmed local real-world result. The sheet also lists 146 kW (196 hp), 340 Nm, 8.2 seconds from 0–100 km/h and a 244 km/h maximum speed.

There is no matched independent road test in the cited sources that compares the VF MPV 7’s real-world range or the A6’s real-world fuel use. The available claims therefore do not support a reliable calculation of which costs less to run.

Do not use Audi’s earlier February 2025 A6 update, which quoted a VND 2.299 billion starting price for an earlier version, as the current new-generation A6 price. The current model-page figure above is the relevant published display price for this comparison.
