Three people were taken to hospital after a white Toyota Camry and a green Subaru Outback collided at the Kwinana Freeway southbound off-ramp and Russell Road intersection in Atwell at about 10am on Friday, 16 September 2022. WA Police sought witnesses and dash-cam or mobile-phone footage as part of their investigation at the time.
What happened in the Atwell crash?
The collision involved a white Toyota Camry sedan and a green Subaru Outback wagon at the intersection of the Kwinana Freeway southbound off-ramp and Russell Road in Atwell, Perth, at about 10am on Friday, 16 September 2022. The incident was reported by PerthNow on 19 September 2022 and by the Western Australia Police Force in a release dated 17 September 2022.
Who was taken to hospital?
All three people involved were taken to hospital. According to the police release, the 22-year-old male driver of the Camry was taken to Fiona Stanley Hospital. The 41-year-old male driver of the Subaru and its 41-year-old female passenger were taken to Royal Perth Hospital.
PerthNow reported that all three had non-life-threatening injuries. The police release named the hospital destinations but did not characterize the injuries.

What did police ask witnesses to do?
At the time, WA Police Traffic Enforcement Group South officers sought information from anyone who witnessed the collision or saw either vehicle being driven before it. The release requested relevant dash-cam or mobile-phone footage and directed people to Crime Stoppers WA by phone or online.
“Anyone with information regarding this crash, or who saw the white Toyota Camry or green Subaru Outback being driven prior to the crash, is asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or report the information online at www.crimestopperswa.com.au.”
