Arkto lists a 2,750-pound curb weight, but whether a particular SUV can tow it depends on that vehicle’s full ratings and the trailer’s loaded configuration.
What is a hexa-drop camper?
“Hexa-drop” describes the C10’s six-sided body shape. Arkto Campers positions it as the smaller alternative to its G12: a squaredrop-style trailer with a wedge pop-up roof that raises the interior rather than relying on a permanently tall cabin. New Atlas reported the C10’s launch at Overland Expo East in 2025 and described the roof opening as creating nearly seven feet of peak height.

Arkto lists the C10 at 16 feet 8 inches long, 6 feet wide and 7 feet 5 inches tall with the roof closed. Its listed interior length is 10 feet and standing height is 6 feet 11 inches. These dimensions do not establish the trailer’s height while traveling with the roof open.
Can an SUV tow the Arkto C10?
Arkto’s current product page lists a 2,750-pound curb weight, 4,600-pound gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR), 1,850-pound cargo capacity and 270-pound tongue weight. The company says tow-vehicle capacity should be above 3,500 pounds. New Atlas reported in October 2025 that Arkto was targeting vehicles with tow ratings between 3,500 and 5,000 pounds.

Those figures are screening information, not confirmation that any particular SUV, Jeep, truck or crossover is suitable. Before buying, check the vehicle’s owner’s manual and ratings for maximum trailer weight, payload, hitch and tongue load, and braking requirements. Account for passengers, luggage, installed options and trailer cargo together; a tow rating by itself does not establish that the loaded combination is within every limit. Arkto lists Timbren axle-less HD suspension with a four-inch lift, electric brakes and a tri-axis off-road coupler, but the reviewed specifications do not establish a particular vehicle match or measured off-road performance.
How does the C10’s layout work for two people?
Arkto lists sleeping capacity for two on a residential queen measuring 80 by 60 inches. New Atlas describes the bed folding up during the day to free the lower floor for a lounge. Arkto lists seating for three, a movable Lagun table, storage cabinets and drawers, LED lighting, screened and blackout window provisions, and a MaxxFan Deluxe roof fan. The roof canvas has three windows with blinds and bug screens.
A small-child sleeper is available as an option. It should not be mistaken for a full third adult berth: the standard sleeping arrangement is for two.
What kitchen, water and bathroom facilities does it have?
Outdoor cooking with indoor access to provisions
The kitchen is an aluminum-and-composite slide-out with a folding countertop, a 12,400-BTU dual-burner gas stove and windscreen, a stainless-steel sink with hot- and cold-water faucet, a drying rack and a propane quick-connect. Arkto lists a 10-cubic-foot pantry. New Atlas reported a 113-liter electric fridge/freezer accessible from indoors; Arkto’s current product specifications list an interior fridge/freezer but do not state its volume.

Water, heat, toilet and shower
Arkto lists a 31-gallon (115-liter) fresh-water tank, a Truma VarioHeat furnace and a Truma AquaGo water heater. The C10 has an outdoor hot-and-cold shower with a rear drop-down enclosure, not an indoor bathroom. A portable toilet is accessible from inside; Arkto offers a Wrappon electric toilet as an option. New Atlas described that upgrade as a waterless toilet.
Storage
Arkto lists 52.8 cubic feet of exterior storage and 18 cubic feet of interior storage. New Atlas separately reported more than 1,215 liters of exterior lockers and a 283-liter pantry. These figures describe different storage categories and should not be treated as interchangeable totals.

Arkto describes the body as R7-rated composite construction on a galvanized-steel chassis. New Atlas reported a composite sandwich-panel body, structural aluminum reinforcement and aluminum/composite furnishings. Arkto claims a 75-year chassis lifespan; that is a manufacturer claim, not an independently demonstrated service-life test.
The current Arkto product page lists two 100-Ah, 12-volt SLA batteries, 15-amp shore power, a REDARC RedVision display and Manager30 battery management, an MPPT solar charge controller, DC-to-DC charging up to 30 amps, eight USB outlets, two 12-volt sockets and two 110-volt outlets. Arkto says the system can support up to 960 Ah of lithium capacity and 1,000 watts of solar. Its listed optional configurations include lithium batteries, a 2,000-watt inverter and up to 400 watts of rooftop solar; equipment and availability may vary by configuration.

Other options listed by Arkto include insulated pop-top canvas, a heated fresh-water tank, a 12-volt rooftop air conditioner, under-bed storage bins, an induction cooktop, awning-wall kits, suspension and brake upgrades, and Starlink mounting and power kits. The Starlink kit does not include the Starlink system itself. Check Arkto’s current configuration details before relying on any optional equipment being available or included.
How much does the Arkto C10 cost?
Arkto’s product page currently displays a starting price of CAD $68,000. New Atlas reported a US$46,000 starting price on October 15, 2025, in coverage of the C10’s launch. These are different currencies and time-specific figures; the 2025 U.S.-dollar report is not a current U.S. quote. Ask Arkto directly about U.S. pricing, options, taxes, delivery and availability.
Who is the C10 best suited to?
The C10 is worth considering for a couple seeking a compact trailer with a dedicated queen bed, a daytime lounge, indoor access to some amenities and an outdoor cooking setup. It is less compelling for buyers who require an indoor bathroom, a standard third-person bed or a confirmed tow-vehicle match without checking their vehicle’s payload, hitch and loaded-trailer limits. Its pop-up layout and equipment list give it a more equipped camp setup than a basic sleeping pod, but buyers should evaluate the specific configuration and loaded weight rather than infer capability from the model name or broad tow-vehicle target.
