The 2025 Aston Martin Vanquish is a front-engined flagship GT powered by a twin-turbo V12. Aston Martin rates it at 835PS (824bhp in its market specification), with 1,000Nm of torque, and claims a 0–62mph time of 3.3 seconds and a 214mph top speed. Those figures make it exceptionally potent, but the available specifications do not establish that it beats a Ferrari in a matched comparison.
What the 2025 Vanquish is
This is the third-generation Vanquish, introduced in September 2024 and sold as a 2025 model. Aston Martin positions it as the front-engined flagship of its next-generation sports-car portfolio: a long-distance grand tourer with performance at the supercar end of the spectrum. The name therefore describes its place in Aston Martin’s range, not proof that it defeats a particular rival.
Aston Martin Executive Chairman Lawrence Stroll said at launch that the Vanquish “crowned” the company’s next-generation sports-car portfolio. The car’s defining choice is its V12 powertrain, rather than a move to a smaller engine or an all-wheel-drive layout.
How much power does the Vanquish make?
V12 output and units
Aston Martin specifies a 5.2-litre twin-turbocharged V12 producing 835PS and 1,000Nm. Its Türkiye specification page gives the converted output as 824bhp at 6,500rpm; Car and Driver lists 824 horsepower and 737lb-ft for the 2025 Coupe. These labels reflect different unit conventions: PS is metric horsepower, bhp is brake horsepower, and US sources commonly use “horsepower.” The figures describe the same approximate output, but the units should not be treated as identical.

Aston Martin Chief Technical Officer Roberto Fedeli said a state-of-the-art V12 was essential for a new flagship. That engine is paired with an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission and an electronic rear differential. Aston Martin also highlights a Boost Reserve function in its launch material.
How fast is the 2025 Vanquish?
Aston Martin claims the Vanquish accelerates from 0 to 62mph in 3.3 seconds and reaches a maximum speed of 214mph. These are manufacturer figures, not results from an independent test. The 0–62mph measure is also not the same as the 0–60mph time often used in US comparisons.

Is it really a Ferrari-slayer?
“Ferrari-slayer” is a dramatic headline, not a conclusion established by the published figures cited here. A fair verdict would require a named Ferrari in the same market and body-style context, comparable power and torque units, acceleration and top-speed figures, drivetrain details, prices from the same date, and ideally a matched independent test. Without that evidence, the Vanquish’s speed does not show that it is categorically faster or better than a Ferrari.
Readers asking whether it beats the Ferrari 12Cilindri should apply the same standard: the available sources do not provide a like-for-like specification comparison or a direct test. The defensible takeaway is that the Vanquish is a 214mph, V12-powered Aston Martin GT; a head-to-head winner has not been established.

Price, production and tire fitment
US price and production limit
Car and Driver lists a US MSRP of $432,700 for the 2025 Vanquish Coupe. That is a source-listed manufacturer suggested retail price for the US model, not a universal price or a claim about what buyers pay. Aston Martin announced that Vanquish production would be limited to under 1,000 examples per year; this is a production limit, not a delivered-sales count.
Wheels and tires
Aston Martin identifies AML-specific 21-inch Pirelli P ZERO tires. Car and Driver lists 275/35YR21 front and 325/30YR21 rear sizes for the 2025 Coupe. Check the exact approved tire specification for the individual vehicle before replacing tires; a listed size alone does not confirm every fitment or approved tire variant.

Vanquish 25 is a separate edition
In July 2026, Aston Martin announced a Vanquish 25 limited edition planned for 50 cars in total: 25 Coupes and 25 Volantes. That is a distinct edition announcement, not an update to the standard Vanquish’s under-1,000-per-year production limit.
