How its powertrain and tire system are specified
Diesel power and transmission
ARGO lists a three-cylinder, 1.8-liter turbo-diesel engine, maximum torque of 200 Nm, and an HDT automatic e-Steer transmission. The product page identifies the engine as HD Hyundai; the 2025 operator’s manual calls it Hyundai D18. ARGO’s listed fuel consumption is 1.3–2.2 gallons per hour (5–8 L/hour), a published specification rather than an independently measured result.
Low-pressure tires and terrain adjustment
The Sasquatch XTX uses 71-inch XT328 extra-low-pressure tires with an electronic tire-pressure system that can adjust while the vehicle is moving. ARGO describes preset adjustments for different terrain. The 2025 manual specifies 1.0–3.5 psi; that range is a manual specification, not a recommendation to use the same pressure in every condition. The product page lists 71-inch tires, while the manual gives the tire size as 71 × 23–25 inches.

Payload is not cargo capacity alone: the manual counts the people aboard as part of the total load, along with cargo and equipment. Its warning is explicit: “DO NOT OVERLOAD THE VEHICLE. ARGO describes a four-person configuration with a sealed FlexBox offering 57.5 cubic feet of storage, plus additional sealed side storage. Those figures describe the manufacturer’s stated configuration; they do not establish how much of the maximum payload remains available for cargo once occupants, accessories, and other equipment are aboard.
Price, availability, and California qualification
Adventure Offroad Group’s listing for a 2025 Sasquatch XTX showed a U.S. MSRP of $189,999, excluding $3,000 inbound freight and $500 dealer pre-delivery inspection (PDI). That is a model-year- and seller-specific listing, not a guaranteed current transaction price; the page also displayed a sale price that may change. The seller stated that the listed unit could not legally be purchased by and shipped to California residents and separately said it did not meet California CARB emissions standards. What to compare before choosing an amphibious utility vehicle
A fair comparison needs vehicles from comparable model years and configurations. Check the details that determine whether a machine fits the job and can be operated locally:
- Capacity: crew size, payload, and whether the published payload includes occupants.
- Hauling: towing and tongue-weight limits.
- Terrain and water: land and water speeds, ground clearance, grade limits, tire-pressure system, and tire availability.
- Size and load: dimensions and loaded weight, not just dry weight.
- Work environment: cab heating and cooling, operator protection, service network, and warranty terms.
- Ownership constraints: local legality and emissions requirements, plus the complete delivered price including freight, setup, tax, and registration.
The sources available for the Sasquatch XTX do not provide comparable figures for rival vehicles across these measures, so they cannot establish an overall winner.

Warranty and routine service details
ARGO publishes a one-year or 1,000-hour bumper-to-bumper limited warranty and a three-year or 3,000-hour powertrain limited warranty, whichever comes first. Confirm current terms and geographic applicability with ARGO or the selling dealer.
For the Hyundai D18, the 2025 manual specifies 15W-40 engine oil meeting API CK-4 / ACEA E6 and a capacity of 6.6 qt (6.3 L). Verify the manual for the specific model year before servicing; the specification does not endorse a particular oil brand.
