What the Arcimoto Roadster was designed to be
Arcimoto introduced the Roadster as a variant of its three-wheel electric platform. The company characterized it as a pure-electric on-road thrill ride. Founder and CEO Mark Frohnmayer said in the November 16, 2020 announcement, “With the Roadster, we set out to create the ultimate on-road fun machine.” That quote describes Arcimoto’s aim, not an independent assessment of the vehicle.
Arcimoto said the Roadster’s design was intended to have a lower center of gravity, lower overall weight and potentially improved aerodynamics compared with the company’s platform baseline. These were stated design intentions; the available material does not provide independent measurements or performance testing to confirm them.
Announced components
The development announcement named Corbin-Pacific as the developer of hand-built saddles and accessories, and National Cycle as the windshield developer. That announcement does not establish whether Roadster-specific components are currently available for purchase.

Is the Arcimoto Roadster available to buy?
The sources do not establish that the Roadster reached regular retail production or is currently for sale. Arcimoto’s 2023 filing described it as still in development and said the company had not determined when it would bring the prototypes to market. Arcimoto’s website, as observed October 7, 2026, displayed the FUV and MUV, but no Roadster purchase listing or Roadster specification sheet.
NHTSA’s recall report does identify four model-year 2021 Roadsters in a cohort of 516 affected Arcimoto vehicles produced from September 19, 2019, through March 21, 2022. That is evidence that four Roadsters were identified in the safety filing; it is not a Roadster production total or evidence of a broad customer launch. The 516 figure covers the reported Arcimoto vehicle cohort across models.

What is known—and unknown—about Roadster specifications
The documented description is limited to a three-wheel electric platform and Arcimoto’s stated design goals. The available sources do not establish Roadster-specific range, top speed, acceleration, battery capacity, charging time or price. Those figures should not be inferred from another Arcimoto model.
For example, Arcimoto’s website lists a 102-mile range and 75-mph top speed for the FUV. Those are FUV claims, not Roadster specifications.
