What top speed is officially claimed for the RS 660?
Aprilia UK describes the RS 660 Factory as having “a true top speed of 240 km/h.” That is the manufacturer’s claim, not an independently verified GPS result. The wording is specific to the Factory and should not be treated as a published top-speed figure for every standard RS 660 or model year. Aprilia UK’s RS 660 model page gives the claim.
Did the recent RS 660 top-speed test publish a measured result?
Not in the available description. A BT Moto video published September 11, 2026, says its review of a 2026 RS 660 included dyno testing, Dragy 20–100 mph GPS testing and top-speed GPS data. The description does not state the final top speed or provide the run conditions, so it cannot substantiate a specific measured maximum. That distinction matters: a manufacturer-claimed figure, a dashboard-indicated speed and a GPS-measured speed are different kinds of evidence. The available information does not establish a reproducible independent top-speed result for a stock RS 660.

What the RS 660’s engine specifications tell you
Aprilia USA’s 2025 RS 660 page lists a 660-cc liquid-cooled twin rated at 105 hp at 10,400 rpm and 70 Nm of torque at 8,400 rpm. Those are manufacturer specifications for the US-market 2025 model; they provide performance context, but do not by themselves determine a motorcycle’s maximum speed. Why top-speed figures need context
A fair comparison needs to identify the trim and model year, whether the figure is claimed, indicated or GPS-measured, and whether the motorcycle is stock or modified. Test conditions also matter, including rider position, wind, elevation, run direction and measurement method. The available sources do not quantify how much any one of those variables changes the RS 660’s result.

Aprilia lists an RS 660 GPS module among its accessories, but that does not show that the module was used in BT Moto’s test. Nor does mention of Dragy establish the device or setup used to record its top-speed data. Piaggio Group’s RS 660 Factory announcement
A fast lap is not a top-speed result
At the 2025 Misano Race of Stars, Marco Bezzecchi recorded a 1:45.1 lap on a standard-configuration RS 660 Factory, according to Piaggio Group. That is a named event lap time—not a maximum-speed measurement—and it should not be used as proof of the motorcycle’s top speed. Piaggio Group’s June 4, 2025 event report

Bottom line for riders comparing RS 660 speeds
The defensible headline number is Aprilia’s 240 km/h claim for the RS 660 Factory. The recent test description confirms that GPS top-speed data was collected, but without the reported value and full test details, it does not establish an independently verified maximum. Treat any comparison as incomplete unless it identifies the exact bike, modifications and measurement method.
Maximum-speed testing belongs on a closed course with appropriate safety controls, not on public roads.
