A one-off motorcycle built by Allen Millyard from a 1972 Kawasaki H2 750 reportedly sold for $49,500 at Mecum’s January 2025 Las Vegas auction. New Atlas describes the machine as a four-cylinder, 1000cc conversion of the original three-cylinder two-stroke—an engineering project, not a factory H2 variant.
What makes the Millyard Kawasaki extraordinary?
The starting point was a 1972 Kawasaki H2 750, a production three-cylinder two-stroke. According to New Atlas, Millyard reworked it into a four-cylinder motorcycle with a reported displacement of 1000cc. That added cylinder and larger displacement distinguish the bespoke build from an unmodified H2; it should not be mistaken for a standard production model.

The source frames the H2 as a “widowmaker,” a colorful nickname rather than an official safety category. Its description of the conversion as more extreme is editorial characterization, not a measured safety finding. New Atlas added that the motorcycle sold for $49,500 at Mecum’s January 2025 Las Vegas auction. The sale result is reported by New Atlas; an independent Mecum lot record is not available here to confirm it.
