The affected models identified in the U.S. records reviewed for this guide include the Camry, 4Runner, Crown, Crown Signia, GR Corolla, Grand Highlander, Highlander, Highlander Hybrid, Land Cruiser, Mirai, Prius, RAV4, Sequoia, Sienna Hybrid, Tacoma, Tundra, and Tundra Hybrid.
Important: A recall listed for a model does not mean every vehicle of that model is affected. Production date, drivetrain, powertrain, wheel and brake configuration, plant, equipment, and the vehicle identification number can determine eligibility. Check the 17-character VIN in the Toyota recall lookup or the NHTSA recall lookup before assuming that your vehicle needs a repair.
This guide covers the U.S. market and 2025 model-year Toyota vehicles, using official Toyota and NHTSA campaign information reviewed through May 27, 2026. Recall information can change after a filing or announcement, and a VIN search is more precise than a general year, make, and model search.
How to use this 2025 Toyota recall list
The model sections below identify confirmed campaign-level inclusions, the defect or condition, and the announced remedy. They are not a substitute for a VIN search. A single model may appear in several unrelated campaigns, and each campaign can have a different affected-production range.

2025 Toyota Camry recalls
The 2025 Camry has four distinct recall pathways in the reviewed records. They do not apply to every Camry, and the hybrid-inverter campaign is separate from the seat-belt, instrument-display, and camera campaigns.
Second-row center-seat-belt webbing recall — February 6, 2025
Certain 2025 Camry vehicles may have damaged webbing on the second-row center seat belt. A damaged belt may not perform as intended in a crash. Dealers inspect the belt and replace the seat-belt assembly if necessary at no cost.
12.3-inch combination-meter recall — September 11, 2025
On certain Camry vehicles, the 12.3-inch combination meter may remain blank when the vehicle starts. A blank display can prevent the driver from seeing warning indicators and other important vehicle information. The remedy is software programming or replacement of the combination meter, depending on the vehicle.

Rearview-camera and Panoramic View Monitor recall — October 30, 2025
Certain Camry vehicles equipped with the relevant camera system may fail to display a rearview image or may briefly freeze the image while reversing. Toyota’s announced remedy is a free Parking Assist ECU software update.
Hybrid-inverter recall — December 16, 2025
Certain 2025–2026 Camry Hybrid vehicles may have an inverter bolt that can loosen. The condition can potentially cause loss of motive power or a fire. Toyota announced a free remedy, but owners should use the VIN portal for the latest remedy and repair-availability information rather than assuming that every Camry Hybrid is included.
2025 Toyota 4Runner recalls
Certain 2025 4Runner vehicles are included in the September 11, 2025 combination-meter recall. The instrument panel may remain blank at startup, which can hide warning indicators. Toyota’s remedy is inspection followed by a software update or combination-meter replacement as needed.
The 4Runner is also listed in Toyota’s October 30, 2025 rearview-camera campaign. Under the affected conditions, the rearview image may fail to appear or briefly freeze while reversing. The announced remedy is a Parking Assist ECU software update. Confirm both campaigns with the VIN rather than treating the model listing as proof of coverage.
2025 Toyota Crown recalls
Certain 2025 Crown vehicles appear in both the September 11, 2025 instrument-panel campaign and the October 30, 2025 rearview-camera campaign.
- Combination meter: The 12.3-inch display may remain blank at startup, reducing the driver’s ability to see warning indicators. The remedy is an update or replacement of the combination meter as appropriate.
- Rearview camera: The image may not display or may briefly freeze while reversing. Toyota’s announced remedy is a free Parking Assist ECU software update.
2025 Toyota Crown Signia recalls
Certain 2025 Crown Signia vehicles are included in the same two campaign categories as the Crown:
- The 12.3-inch combination meter may remain blank at startup.
- The backup-camera image may fail to display or freeze briefly during reversing.
The announced remedies are combination-meter software programming or replacement for the display issue and a Parking Assist ECU software update for the camera issue. Eligibility remains VIN-specific.

2025 Toyota GR Corolla recall
Certain 2025 GR Corolla vehicles are listed in Toyota’s September 11, 2025 combination-meter recall. The instrument display may be blank at startup and fail to show warning indicators. Dealers inspect the vehicle and update or replace the combination meter as needed, free of charge for an affected vehicle.

Certain 2025 Grand Highlander vehicles appear in both the combination-meter and rearview-camera campaigns:
- Instrument display: The 12.3-inch combination meter may remain blank when the vehicle starts. The remedy is a software update or combination-meter replacement, depending on the vehicle.
- Rearview camera: The image may not display or may briefly freeze while reversing. The announced remedy is a Parking Assist ECU software update.
2025 Toyota Highlander and Highlander Hybrid recalls
Certain 2025 Highlander and Highlander Hybrid vehicles are included in the September 11, 2025 combination-meter campaign and the October 30, 2025 rearview-camera campaign. These are separate campaigns with separate VIN populations.
In addition, NHTSA recall 25V872 covers a small, narrowly defined group of 2024–2025 Highlander and Highlander Hybrid vehicles. The third-row center-seat-belt roof anchor may have been installed at an incorrect angle. Because the affected population is limited by production criteria, this recall must not be generalized to every 2025 Highlander or Highlander Hybrid.
For an affected vehicle, the dealer remedy depends on the specific campaign notice. Check the VIN to see whether the combination meter, camera system, third-row belt anchor, or more than one item is open.

2025 Toyota Land Cruiser recalls
Certain 2025 Land Cruiser vehicles are included in Toyota’s May 27, 2026 recall covering certain 2024–2025 Land Cruiser and Mirai vehicles. Areas of the 12.3-inch combination-meter display may become blank during startup, preventing some warnings and indicators from appearing. Toyota’s announced remedy is a free combination-meter software update.
The 2025 Land Cruiser also appears in Toyota’s October 30, 2025 rearview-camera campaign. The image may fail to display or briefly freeze while reversing, with a free Parking Assist ECU software update as the announced remedy. Check the VIN for the current status of both campaigns.
2025 Toyota Mirai recalls
Certain 2025 Mirai vehicles are included in the May 27, 2026 combination-meter recall. The 12.3-inch display may become blank during startup, potentially hiding warnings and indicators. Dealers will update the combination-meter software without charge for affected vehicles.
Mirai is also listed in Toyota’s October 30, 2025 rearview-camera/Parking Assist ECU software campaign. A missing or briefly frozen rearview image while reversing is the condition described for that campaign.

Certain 2025 Prius vehicles are listed in Toyota’s October 30, 2025 rearview-camera campaign. The backup-camera image may not display or may freeze briefly after appearing while the vehicle is reversing. The announced dealer remedy is a free Parking Assist ECU software update.
2025 Toyota RAV4 recalls
Certain 2025 RAV4 vehicles appear in the September 11, 2025 instrument-panel campaign and the October 30, 2025 rearview-camera campaign.
Rank #3
- Step-by-step procedures written from a complete teardown and rebuild, giving you the confidence to tackle repairs at any skill level.

- Comprehensive troubleshooting and fault-finding guides to quickly diagnose problems and reduce costly downtime.
- The 12.3-inch instrument display may remain blank at startup and fail to show warning indicators.
- The rearview-camera image may fail to display or briefly freeze during reversing.
The remedies are a combination-meter software update or replacement for the display campaign and a Parking Assist ECU update for the camera campaign.
Do not confuse model years: Earlier RAV4 fuel-pump recall expansions, including the January 22, 2025 campaign covering 2019–2020 RAV4 vehicles, do not establish that a 2025 RAV4 is included. Use the VIN lookup for the vehicle in front of you.
2025 Toyota Sequoia recall
Certain 2025 Sequoia vehicles are included in Toyota’s October 1, 2025 recall covering certain 2022–2025 Tundra and Tundra Hybrid vehicles and 2023–2025 Sequoia vehicles. The rearview-camera display may remain stuck on a camera view or show a black image. Toyota’s announced remedy is a free Parking Assist ECU software update.
Later NHTSA filings in 2026 can add 2025 Sequoia vehicles to other compliance campaigns. Therefore, the October 2025 camera recall should not be treated as the only possible recall affecting a 2025 Sequoia. A current VIN search is essential.
2025 Toyota Sienna Hybrid recalls
The 2025 Sienna Hybrid has at least three distinct recall pathways in the reviewed records. Their affected production windows, components, and remedies are different.
Third-row seat-back bolts — NHTSA 25V086 / Toyota 25TA05
Certain 2021–2025 Sienna Hybrid vehicles may have third-row seat-back bolts that were not tightened to specification. Dealers tighten the bolts free of charge for affected vehicles.
Second-row seat rails — NHTSA 25V668 / Toyota 25TB12 and 25TA12
Certain 2025 Sienna Hybrid vehicles may have improperly welded second-row seat rails. The rails may not adequately restrain an occupant in a crash. NHTSA’s filing identifies 54,631 potentially affected vehicles, but that figure is not a determination that every 2025 Sienna Hybrid is included. Dealers replace the affected rails at no cost.
Rearview-camera campaign — October 30, 2025
Sienna is also among the Toyota model lines listed in the October 30, 2025 rearview-camera campaign. The image may fail to display or briefly freeze while reversing, and the announced remedy is a Parking Assist ECU software update.
A 2025 Sienna Hybrid owner should check the VIN for all three pathways rather than relying on the model year or on a single campaign number.
2025 Toyota Tacoma recalls
The Tacoma’s known recall paths involve different vehicle systems. The brake-hose campaign and the front-driveshaft campaign should not be combined into one general “Tacoma recall,” because neither applies to every 2025 Tacoma.

Rear brake hoses — NHTSA 25V058 / Toyota 25TA04
Certain 2024–2025 Tacoma vehicles equipped with the specified 16-inch brake system and relevant Toyota wheels may allow mud and dirt to build up inside the rear wheels. The buildup can damage the rear brake hoses and potentially cause a brake-fluid leak. Toyota expanded this campaign in July 2025 to approximately 221,846 vehicles, but the exact brake and wheel configuration remains important.
Rank #4

- Over 700+ clear photos and diagrams that simplify complex systems, helping you complete jobs faster and with fewer mistakes.
- Comprehensive troubleshooting and fault-finding guides to quickly diagnose problems and reduce costly downtime.
Check the VIN for the official remedy and any current repair instructions. If you notice a brake warning, a change in pedal feel, or evidence of leaking fluid, do not treat an online model listing as a diagnosis; have the vehicle assessed by a qualified professional.
Front-driveshaft component — NHTSA 25V656 / Toyota 25TB11 and 25TA11
Certain 2025 Tacoma and Tacoma Hybrid vehicles may have a front-driveshaft component made from incorrect material. The component can deform or break, potentially limiting steering or allowing the vehicle to move while parked under specified conditions. NHTSA lists 5,960 potentially involved vehicles. The campaign is especially configuration- and production-specific, so it cannot be applied to every Tacoma.
The VIN lookup will show whether the vehicle is included and what remedy the dealer is authorized to perform.
Later load-capacity-label filings
Tacoma model years 2024–2025 also appear in later NHTSA filings concerning load-capacity modification labels. These later filings should be treated as additional update material, not silently folded into the original 2025 Tacoma recall list. Owners should search again if the vehicle’s record has changed since the original repair.
2025 Toyota Tundra and Tundra Hybrid recalls
Two related-looking rearview-camera or multimedia-display campaigns need to be checked separately.
October 1, 2025 campaign
Certain 2022–2025 Tundra and Tundra Hybrid vehicles are included in Toyota’s October 1, 2025 campaign for a rearview-camera display problem. The display may remain stuck on a camera view or show a black image. Toyota’s announced remedy is a free Parking Assist ECU software update. The same campaign also covers certain 2023–2025 Sequoia vehicles.
January 23, 2026 campaign
Certain 2025 Tundra and Tundra Hybrid vehicles are covered by Toyota’s January 23, 2026 recall for a multimedia display that may become stuck on a camera view or show a black image while reversing. Dealers update the Parking Assist ECU software without charge for affected vehicles.
The two campaigns have different filing dates, affected populations, and production criteria. A Tundra owner should not assume that completing one campaign automatically resolves the other; the VIN record should show which repairs remain open.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.2025 Toyota models not confirmed in the reviewed records
The reviewed official sources did not provide enough model-specific evidence to assert a 2025-model-year recall for every Toyota nameplate sold or marketed around the 2025 model year.
In particular, do not state that every 2025 Corolla, Corolla Cross, or bZ4X is recalled merely because those model lines appear in broader Toyota campaigns covering other model years or because a later campaign includes a different model year. Their appearance in another campaign is not proof that a 2025 vehicle is affected.
This is not a declaration that no additional recall can ever be filed. It means only that a 2025-model-year inclusion was not confirmed in the sources reviewed for this guide. Search the VIN for the most current answer.

How to check a 2025 Toyota recall by VIN
- Find the 17-character VIN. It is commonly visible through the windshield, on the driver-door or door-jamb label, and in vehicle documents. Use the VIN for the vehicle you intend to repair, not a similar vehicle’s VIN.
- Run the Toyota search. Enter the VIN in Toyota’s official recall portal. Toyota’s portal can show open safety recalls and Toyota service campaigns associated with the vehicle after the vehicle and VIN are added.
- Run an independent NHTSA search. NHTSA’s lookup can identify unrepaired safety recalls by VIN. NHTSA also provides a license-plate search, while a general year/make/model search is useful for campaign information but does not establish that a particular vehicle is included.
- Read each campaign separately. Compare the campaign number, affected component, remedy status, and completion status. A vehicle can have multiple open campaigns, and one completed camera update does not necessarily close an unrelated seat-belt or brake recall.
- Contact an authorized Toyota dealer. Recall repairs at the manufacturer’s authorized dealership are free for an affected vehicle. Ask whether the remedy is available and whether the dealer needs to order parts or schedule a software update; an announcement date does not always mean the repair can be completed immediately.
- Keep the repair record. After service, confirm that the campaign is marked completed in the dealer’s records and retain the work order.
Quick safety rule: A model-level result is a reason to perform a VIN check, not a reason to buy a diagnostic device or replacement part. An OBD2 scanner may read some diagnostic trouble codes, but it cannot establish whether Toyota or NHTSA has assigned a safety recall to your VIN.
What to do if your Toyota has an open recall
If the instrument display is blank
A blank combination meter can hide warning indicators and other information. Verify the VIN and contact Toyota or an authorized dealer for instructions and remedy availability. Until the issue is resolved, do not assume that the absence of a visible warning means that no warning condition exists.
If the rearview camera is black, frozen, or missing
Do not rely on the camera image while reversing if it is absent or frozen. Check the surroundings directly and use the vehicle’s mirrors while arranging the specified Parking Assist ECU software repair. The camera condition is a safety issue, but it does not prove that a particular vehicle is included until the VIN confirms it.
If a seat belt, seat rail, brake hose, or driveshaft campaign appears
Make the dealer appointment promptly and ask what driving guidance applies to that campaign. For brake concerns such as a warning light, unusual pedal feel, or suspected fluid leak, stop using the vehicle when it is unsafe to do so and seek professional assistance. Do not attempt a recall repair with generic parts or an aftermarket diagnostic tool.

Why VIN verification matters
Manufacturers often build several versions of one model during a model year. A Tacoma with the specified 16-inch brake system can have a different recall exposure from another Tacoma, and a Camry Hybrid can have a powertrain-specific campaign that does not apply to a gasoline or differently equipped vehicle. Similar distinctions apply to camera equipment, seat configurations, plants, production dates, and drivetrain components.
That is why the safest interpretation of this article is: your model may be represented in a campaign, so check your VIN. It is not: every vehicle of that model needs every listed repair. Toyota also notes that recall information can change after a filing date, so a previous search should be repeated if you receive a new notice or if the vehicle is being purchased, sold, or transferred.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are all 2025 Toyota vehicles of a listed model recalled?
No. A model-level campaign listing does not mean every vehicle of that model is affected. Production date, equipment, powertrain, drivetrain, wheel or brake configuration, and VIN-specific criteria can narrow the population. Check the VIN through Toyota or NHTSA.
How do I check whether my 2025 Toyota has an open recall?
Use the 17-character VIN in Toyota’s official recall portal and NHTSA’s recall lookup. NHTSA also offers a license-plate search, but the VIN search is the more precise way to identify unrepaired recalls associated with an individual vehicle.

Recall repairs performed by an authorized manufacturer dealership are free for an affected vehicle. Parts, software, or remedy availability can vary by campaign, so confirm the appointment and remedy status with the dealer.
Can an OBD2 scanner tell me whether my Toyota has a recall?
No. An OBD2 scanner may read certain diagnostic trouble codes, but it does not determine whether a manufacturer safety recall is assigned to your VIN. Use Toyota’s or NHTSA’s official recall lookup instead.
Is every 2025 Toyota RAV4 included in a recall?
No. Certain 2025 RAV4 vehicles appear in instrument-panel and rearview-camera campaigns, but VIN-specific criteria apply. Older RAV4 fuel-pump recalls covering 2019–2020 vehicles should not be used as evidence that a 2025 RAV4 is affected.
Does a 2025 Tacoma have both a brake recall and a driveshaft recall?
Certain Tacomas are included in each campaign, but neither applies to every 2025 Tacoma. The brake-hose campaign depends in part on the specified 16-inch brake system and relevant wheels, while the front-driveshaft campaign has its own configuration and production criteria. Check the VIN for both.
