2025 Mazda3
Campaign 25V357, Mazda reference 7525E, concerns the supplemental restraint-system (SAS) unit. If the ignition is left on for at least two hours without the engine running and the battery becomes completely depleted, the SAS unit can store an internal fault. After the battery is recharged and the vehicle is restarted, the air-bag warning lamp may illuminate and the air bags may not deploy in a crash.
The remedy is a free dealer reprogramming of the SAS unit or replacement of the unit, depending on the vehicle. Do not assume a recently replaced battery removes the risk; the campaign is resolved only when the VIN-specific repair is recorded.

2025 Mazda CX-30
The CX-30 shares the 25V357/7525E SAS condition with the Mazda3. A warning lamp after a severe battery discharge is a reason to check the recall status immediately, because the reported failure can disable air-bag deployment in a crash. Mazda dealers perform the reprogramming or replacement at no charge.
2025 Mazda CX-50 and CX-50 Hybrid
The CX-50 line has three separate campaigns, so checking only one campaign number is insufficient.

- 25V413: Incorrect air-bag module software may cause an air bag to deploy improperly. The remedy is a free dealer software update.
- 25V737/7925J: Improperly torqued front-suspension fasteners can allow suspension components or a wheel to detach, creating a loss-of-control risk. Arrange the VIN-specific dealer remedy promptly, particularly if unusual wheel or suspension behavior is present.
2025 Mazda CX-70
Campaign 24V814/7124J involves Dash Electrical Supply Unit software. Depending on the vehicle, the defect can prevent or disrupt the defroster, seat-belt warning, 360-degree monitor or plug-in-hybrid (PHEV) battery cooling function.
Campaign 25V568/7825I is narrower: it applies to MHEV CX-70 vehicles whose gauge may show fuel remaining when the tank is empty, allowing an unexpected stall. PHEV CX-70 vehicles are excluded from that fuel-gauge campaign.

2025 Mazda MX-5 Miata
Campaign 7425E concerns the TCS/DSC indicator. The light may fail to illuminate when the system detects abnormal yaw, leaving the driver unaware of a stability-control malfunction. Mazda reported that condition as a crash and injury risk. Affected owners should have the free dealer repair completed even if the car drives normally.
2025 Mazda CX-5
No 2025 CX-5 campaign appeared in the records reviewed for this guide. That does not clear an individual CX-5: an open campaign can depend on its VIN, production date or equipment. Check the vehicle’s VIN before concluding that no recall applies.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. How to check a 2025 Mazda recall by VIN
- Locate the 17-character VIN on the driver-side dashboard, vehicle registration or insurance documents.
- Enter the VIN in the NHTSA recall lookup and Mazda’s Recall Info checker. A model-year search cannot replace this step.
- Review every open campaign, including campaigns filed under a different model year or a Mazda reference number.
- Call an authorized Mazda dealer, provide the VIN and schedule the remedy. Ask whether parts or a software update are available before driving to the appointment.
- Keep the repair order showing the campaign number and completion date.
NHTSA consumer guidance says an open recall should be repaired immediately for free at a local dealership. Recall repairs described here are manufacturer-authorized dealer repairs or software updates at no charge.

Why powertrain and production details matter
The CX-70 and CX-90 examples show why a model-only list can mislead. The 25V568 fuel-gauge campaign applies to MHEV vehicles, while PHEVs are excluded. Conversely, campaign 7325C is specifically a PHEV hybrid-system software campaign. The 24V814/7124J ESU campaign spans equipment and powertrain combinations, so the VIN determines the exact repair.
Filing dates also cross model years. The 24V814 campaign was filed in 2024 but includes 2025 CX-70 and CX-90 vehicles; it belongs in a 2025 model-year guide because those vehicles are covered.
Quick Recap
What to do if a warning or symptom appears
- Air-bag warning: Avoid treating the warning as cosmetic. Contact Mazda promptly because the SAS or air-bag-module campaigns can affect deployment.
- Fuel gauge reads fuel but the vehicle stalls: Move to a safe location, do not rely on the gauge, and arrange dealer diagnosis for an MHEV CX-70 or CX-90.
- Hybrid-system warning or no restart: For a CX-70 or CX-90 PHEV, follow the owner’s roadside-assistance guidance and have the VIN checked for campaign 7325C.
- Loose hitch, wheel or suspension concern: Stop towing and limit driving until a Mazda dealer evaluates the vehicle, especially for a CX-50 covered by 7225C or 25V737/7925J.
- Missing TCS/DSC indicator: Have an MX-5 Miata checked even if no other warning is displayed.
