CFMOTO’s reported follow-up to the 450CL-C is called the 550CL-C, but it is not yet a confirmed production model. A motorcycle-industry report describes a 526cc parallel twin producing 53 hp and says a 2027 launch is planned. CFMOTO’s reviewed official pages document the 450CL-C, not the 550CL-C, so its final specifications, price and availability remain unconfirmed.
What is CFMOTO’s reported cruiser after the 450CL-C?
Motorcycles.News reports that CFMOTO is preparing a 550CL-C, a cruiser with a 526cc parallel-twin engine rated at 53 hp and a planned 2027 launch. Those details come from secondary reporting, not an official CFMOTO product announcement. The name, output and timing should therefore be treated as reported plans rather than finalized specifications or a confirmed release schedule. Motorcycles.News’ 2027 models report is the source for those claims.
CFMOTO’s reviewed official material confirms the 450CL-C, but does not confirm a 550CL-C. No successor price, final specification sheet or market availability has been established in those official sources.
What does the 450CL-C offer?
The current 450CL-C provides a concrete reference point, though its listed specifications vary by market. CFMOTO’s Canadian and Australian pages use different units and some different published values; they should be read as separate regional listings rather than blended into one specification sheet.

For price context only, CFMOTO Australia stated an MY26 ride-away price of AUD $8,990 in a release published on 16 December 2025. That is an Australian market price as reported at that date, not a price for the reported 550CL-C or a current quote for every buyer. Read the Australian MY26 release.
Is it confirmed to compete with a Honda Rebel?
The headline’s Honda reference suggests a potential rival, but the available information does not establish a direct matchup with a particular Rebel model or model year. Without confirmed 550CL-C specifications, pricing and sales markets, it is not possible to make a reliable comparison of performance, equipment or value against a specific Honda.

If CFMOTO confirms the motorcycle, a useful comparison will need to match model years and markets, then examine engine output, seat height, mass, final drive, braking and safety equipment, price, availability and warranty. Until then, describing the 550CL-C as a possible challenger is more accurate than saying it is already set to worry a specific Honda cruiser.

What remains unknown about the 550CL-C?
- Whether CFMOTO will officially announce or sell a production 550CL-C.
- Final engine specifications and other production details.
- Price, warranty and the markets in which it may be available.
- How its eventual equipment and performance would compare with a matching Honda model.
