New-car screens have moved well beyond the traditional center-stack touchscreen. Some now stretch across the dashboard, combine several panels under one sheet of glass, or fold down from the roof for rear-seat entertainment.
This ranking covers current U.S.-market production vehicles and listed model years as of August 9, 2026. It uses each manufacturer’s stated diagonal for the largest integrated display or display assembly. That matters because a 56-inch dashboard span is not the same thing as a single 56-inch touchscreen.

1. Mercedes-Benz EQS sedan and EQS SUV: 56 inches
The Mercedes-Benz EQS sedan and EQS SUV share the biggest manufacturer-quoted display span in a current U.S.-market vehicle: the 56-inch MBUX Hyperscreen.
It is not one enormous 56-inch touchscreen. The glass-covered assembly combines a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 17.7-inch OLED central touchscreen and a 12.3-inch OLED front-passenger display. Mercedes makes the Hyperscreen standard on the current EQS.

The passenger display is intended to give the front passenger their own interface, while the driver’s information remains in a separate instrument display. For ordinary navigation and vehicle controls, the part most drivers will actually touch is the 17.7-inch center screen.
2. Cadillac Escalade, Escalade IQ and Escalade IQL: 55 inches
Cadillac’s full-size SUV family is next, with a manufacturer-rated 55-inch Horizon Display in the gasoline-powered Escalade, electric Escalade IQ and long-wheelbase Escalade IQL.
The wide interface integrates the driver information cluster and infotainment system across the front of the cabin. Cadillac also includes front-passenger functionality in its description of the display, making this more than a conventional center touchscreen enlarged to fit the dashboard.
The 2026 Escalade is the gasoline model. The Escalade IQ is Cadillac’s electric alternative, while the Escalade IQL adds length and additional rear-seat space. Cadillac’s IQL materials identify some images as preproduction, so pictured equipment should not automatically be treated as final production specification.
3. Lincoln Nautilus: 48 inches
The 2026 Lincoln Nautilus has a 48-inch panoramic display positioned high across the dashboard. It presents information such as speed, fuel level, alerts and customizable information tiles in the driver’s line of sight.

There is also an 11.1-inch center-stack touchscreen. That distinction is important: the 48-inch panel is primarily a panoramic information display, not the Nautilus’s main conventional touchscreen. The lower screen handles much of the familiar touch interaction for apps, settings and vehicle functions.
In other words, the Nautilus ranks highly for dashboard display width, but its 48-inch number should not be compared directly with a single-panel infotainment screen without explaining what each display does.
4. Lucid Gravity: 34 inches
The 2026 Lucid Gravity uses a curved, uninterrupted 34-inch 6K OLED Clearview Cockpit display above the steering wheel. It provides the main driver-facing interface and is paired with a separate horizontally oriented Pilot Panel.

5. Lucid Air: 34 inches
The Lucid Air also has a 34-inch Glass Cockpit. A separate retractable 12.5-inch Pilot Panel sits to the right of the driver and provides access to vehicle controls and other functions.

Those two numbers should not be added together. The advertised 34 inches describes the main Glass Cockpit display, while the 12.5-inch Pilot Panel is a separate screen with a different role.
6. Cadillac Lyriq: 33 inches
The 2026 Cadillac Lyriq has a standard 33-inch Horizon Display, which Cadillac describes as a single curved advanced LED screen with 9K resolution. It is standard on the Lyriq Luxury trim and covers the driver information and infotainment area in one continuous panel.
Unlike the Mercedes-Benz EQS Hyperscreen, this is not three separate displays joined beneath a single glass surface. It is a continuous curved display panel, making its 33-inch diagonal a more direct screen-to-screen comparison with other single-panel systems.
7. BMW i7: 31.3 inches
The BMW i7 offers an optional 31.3-inch BMW Theatre Screen for rear passengers. This is a very different proposition from the other entries: it is a motorized screen that folds down from the roof rather than a dashboard display for the driver.
The screen uses an extremely wide 32:9 aspect ratio and supports resolution up to 8K. It is designed for rear-seat entertainment, not navigation, instrumentation or primary vehicle controls. It is also optional, so it is not fitted to every i7.

8. Genesis GV80: 27 inches
The current Genesis GV80 offers a 27-inch OLED instrument cluster and navigation display spanning the dashboard. Genesis describes it as an integrated display for driving information, navigation and vehicle status.
That makes it broader in function than a screen dedicated only to media playback, but it should not be described as a 27-inch infotainment touchscreen. Its job is to combine the instrument and navigation interfaces in one OLED panel.
9. Tesla Model Y: up to 16 inches
The current Tesla Model Y reaches 16 inches for its center touchscreen on applicable Premium variants. Certain versions also add an 8-inch rear touchscreen.
There is a trim-related catch. Tesla lists the entry-level Model Y Standard AWD with a 15.4-inch center touchscreen. Therefore, “the Model Y has a 16-inch screen” is accurate only for the configurations that receive the larger display.

- Tesla Model X: Tesla’s current page says the Model X is no longer in production, so its 17.4-inch first-row screen does not qualify here.
- Sony Honda Afeela 1: Sony Honda Mobility announced that development and launch of the Afeela 1 and its second model were discontinued in March 2026.
- Ford F-150 Lightning: Its 15.5-inch screen is large, but it falls below the Model Y’s 16-inch maximum in this ranking.
- Rivian R1S and R1T: Both use a 15.6-inch center display, which is just below the cutoff.
What the numbers do—and do not—tell you
A larger diagonal does not automatically mean a better interface. A screen’s usefulness also depends on brightness, viewing angle, software layout, physical controls, response time and whether the manufacturer has put essential functions behind menus.
The comparisons are also imperfect. Mercedes-Benz measures the complete Hyperscreen glass span across three displays. Lincoln’s 48-inch figure refers to a panoramic information display that works with an 11.1-inch touchscreen. BMW’s 31.3-inch screen is for rear passengers, while Tesla’s 16-inch figure applies only to selected Model Y configurations.
For buyers, the practical questions are often more useful than the headline diagonal: Can the driver see navigation without excessive distraction? Are climate controls easy to adjust? Does the system support Apple CarPlay or Android Auto? Can passengers use their own display without taking over the driver’s interface? A huge panel can be impressive in a showroom and still be awkward if its software is poorly organized.
