7 Striking Homes Reportedly Owned by Formula 1 Drivers

From Monaco apartments to a Colorado retreat and a 2,500-acre English estate, these seven reported F1 driver homes show very different ideas of luxury.

Formula 1 drivers’ homes range from Monaco apartments to a Colorado retreat and a vast English farming estate. The seven homes below are strikingly reported examples, not a verified ranking of the sport’s richest drivers or most expensive properties: public valuations are selective, inconsistent and not directly comparable. Details are attributed to the outlets that reported them, and the order is editorial.

Why so many F1 drivers call Monaco home

Monaco is a recurring base for drivers, but residency figures change with the grid and the date of reporting. Motorsport.com counted nine of the 20 drivers on the then-current grid as Monaco residents in 2024; that historical figure should not be read as a count for 2026. The principality offers a compact urban setting, so a reported home there may be an apartment rather than a sprawling villa. Motorsport.com’s explanation of F1’s Monaco connection provides context, not a current resident list.

Seven strikingly reported F1 homes

1. Lewis Hamilton’s reported Monaco residence

In March 2025, realestate.com.au reported that Hamilton’s Monaco residence was valued at about US$24.5 million and was reportedly in Fontvieille. That is a media-reported estimate and location, not a confirmed title record; Hamilton has kept details of the home private. House & Garden has also reported a Monaco purchase at a different estimated price, underscoring why the figures should not be treated as a definitive valuation. realestate.com.au’s roundup and House & Garden’s portfolio account offer the available public descriptions.

2. Lewis Hamilton’s West London home

Hamilton’s reported London property stands out for its garden and period-home features rather than a publicly settled price. realestate.com.au describes a garden, summer house, four reception rooms and two large bathrooms. House & Garden describes a six-bedroom West London estate acquired in 2017, with a 200-foot garden and a guest summer house. These are outlet-reported details, and the descriptions and valuations vary between accounts, so they do not establish a current market value or ownership status.

3. Lewis Hamilton’s Colorado retreat

Of Hamilton’s reported homes, Colorado is the one he has most clearly connected to family memories. In remarks published by realestate.com.au and House & Garden, and traced by those outlets to a BBC interview, he said: “In my winter, I go to the mountains [in Colorado], which I really see as my main home, because it’s a house and it’s full of love and memories from people, the family that come every winter.” His description gives this home a personal significance that property estimates cannot capture.

4. Michael Schumacher’s Lake Geneva estate

Country Life reports that Schumacher has long lived on a 15-acre estate on Lake Geneva. The public account establishes the broad setting and reported scale, but offers little reliable detail about the interior. The appeal is clear without embellishment: a substantial lakeside property, set apart from the dense city residences associated with many current drivers. Country Life’s account of F1 figures and rural living is the source for the estate’s reported acreage.

5. Jody Scheckter’s Laverstoke estate

Scheckter’s reported Laverstoke holding is a working rural estate as well as a home. Country Life describes the 2,500-acre property and Scheckter’s biodynamic farming there. The publication reported that Savills brought the estate to market in 2025 for £58 million. That is a historical listing figure—not a current asking price, confirmed sale price or present valuation.

6. Lando Norris’s Monaco home

realestate.com.au reported that Norris announced a move to Monaco in 2021. In the post reproduced by the outlet, he wrote, “Say hello to my new home!” and added, “The place isn’t finished yet but I’ll be living here in Monaco when I’m not in the factory or at the track next year.” The reporting establishes his announcement, not a detailed tour of the current residence. The outlet also points to a Sky Sports virtual tour of his previous UK house, which showed a car, racing simulator and F1 memorabilia; those features belong to the former home, not the Monaco residence.

7. Oscar Piastri’s Monte Carlo apartment

realestate.com.au reported in 2025, citing CodeSports, that Piastri moved from the UK in 2024 and bought a Monte Carlo apartment. The apartment details and reports about neighbours remain secondary reporting rather than a property record. The same coverage gives a useful sense of how little time a driver may spend at home: Piastri said, “I think last season, we added it up, and it was maybe 100 (nights at home), so just over three months.” The estimate was his own description of the previous season, not a general figure for F1 drivers.

What these homes reveal—and what they do not

The contrast is less about a reliable price ladder than about different ideas of home: Hamilton’s city bases and Colorado retreat, Schumacher’s lakeside acreage, Scheckter’s working farm, and the Monaco apartments reported for Norris and Piastri. Hamilton has described Colorado as especially rich in family memories, while Piastri’s estimate of about 100 nights at home illustrates the travel demands behind an F1 lifestyle. Public reporting does not establish matching valuations or a comparable net-worth ranking for these seven drivers. A TIME profile also mentions Max Verstappen’s Monaco home and sim-racing hobby, but does not provide enough home detail for a comparable property entry. TIME’s profile of Verstappen is a brief lifestyle reference, not a home tour.
