Ferrari says the F80 accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.15 seconds. That is not a published 0–60 mph time: 60 mph is about 96.6 km/h, and Ferrari’s specification gives no separate 0–60 mph figure. The sprint reflects several systems working together, rather than a single power figure.
Ferrari F80 acceleration: the published figures
Ferrari’s official technical specification lists 0–100 km/h in 2.15 seconds, 0–200 km/h in 5.75 seconds and a maximum speed of 350 km/h. These are manufacturer-published figures, not independent test results. Ferrari’s F80 technical specification reports the metric acceleration intervals; it does not list a 0–60 mph time.
1. A 900 hp V6 and 300 hp hybrid system
The F80 pairs a 3.0-litre, 120-degree twin-turbo V6 rated at 900 hp with electric motors rated at 300 hp. Ferrari presents the engine and hybrid system as a combined powertrain, so the 2.15-second result should not be explained as the work of the V6 alone. The drivetrain includes an eight-speed dual-clutch F1 DCT. Ferrari also says the engine-transmission unit is partly derived from the 499P endurance racer. Ferrari’s 2024 launch article describes the powertrain and its components.
2. Electric turbo technology for response
Ferrari says an electric motor sits between the turbine and compressor of each turbocharger. The company describes the intended effect as “instantaneous response from low down in the rev range.” That is Ferrari’s explanation of how the system responds; it is not a published measurement of reduced turbo lag or a separately quantified contribution to the 0–100 km/h time. Ferrari’s launch coverage explains the electric turbo arrangement.

3. An electric front axle sends power to all four wheels
The electric front axle gives the F80 four-wheel-drive capability. Ferrari says this helps the car use its available power and torque more effectively, making traction and power delivery part of the acceleration story alongside the powertrain’s output. Ferrari has not published a controlled comparison that isolates how much time the front axle saves, so no individual acceleration gain can be assigned to it. Ferrari’s launch article describes the axle and its four-wheel-drive role.
4. Aerodynamics and active suspension support performance
The F80’s aerodynamic package includes an active rear wing, rear diffuser, flat underbody, front triplane wing and S-Duct. Ferrari also says its active suspension contributes to ground effect, while allowing a stiff track-focused setup to retain some road-surface absorption. These systems are aimed at aerodynamic performance and grip, particularly at speed; downforce is not, by itself, an explanation for a standstill launch time.

Ferrari publications give different downforce figures: the 2024 launch material reports 1,000 kg at 250 km/h, while a Ferrari Magazine overview reports 1,050 kg at the same speed. Because the figures differ, they should not be combined or treated as a single settled specification. Ferrari’s 2024 launch article gives the 1,000 kg figure; Ferrari Magazine’s F80 overview gives 1,050 kg.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Why the 2.15-second claim needs its units
0–100 km/h and 0–60 mph are close but not identical: 60 mph is approximately 96.6 km/h. Ferrari’s cited specification establishes a 0–100 km/h claim, not a 0–60 mph result. The distinction matters when comparing acceleration figures, especially if one number comes from a manufacturer and another from an independent test.

Ferrari’s stated time is the headline outcome of the integrated package: hybrid power, electric turbo response, four-wheel-drive traction and performance-focused aero and suspension. The company does not publish a separate 0–100 km/h time gain for any one of those elements.
