The all-new 2027 Volkswagen Atlas debuted at the 2026 New York International Auto Show on March 31, 2026. Volkswagen says the seven-seat SUV can be yours “this fall,” lists a starting MSRP of $41,610, and says its new-generation turbocharged four-cylinder makes 282 horsepower.

Volkswagen tied the Atlas reveal to the New York International Auto Show on March 31, 2026. The automaker’s U.S. Atlas product page and Volkswagen of America newsroom identify it as the all-new 2027 model and confirm the New York debut.
When will it reach dealerships?
Volkswagen says the 2027 Atlas “can be yours this fall.” That gives shoppers a seasonal window, not an exact dealer-on-sale date or a guarantee of availability at every dealership at the same time. Volkswagen has not specified a precise nationwide dealer-arrival date in the official material cited here.
How much does the 2027 Atlas cost?
Volkswagen lists a $41,610 starting MSRP for the 2027 Atlas. The published U.S. page does not include a complete trim-by-trim price sheet, so shoppers should not treat that starting figure as the price of every configuration.

Volkswagen Group of America senior vice president of Product Marketing & Strategy Petar Danilovic described the design as an architectural statement intended to create “a more confident driving experience.” That is the company’s characterization, not an independent driving assessment.

The new model is worth waiting for if you want the redesigned, seven-seat Atlas and can shop around Volkswagen’s stated fall availability window. Its announced starting MSRP and 282-hp engine give shoppers two concrete points to compare, but several purchase-critical details are still not established in the official U.S. information.
