2027 Corolla hatch prices in Australia
CarExpert reported the updated Australian hatchback prices in 2026. All three Australian grades are hybrids, and the listed prices exclude on-road costs.

CarExpert’s Australian-market report says the Ascent Sport’s new standard equipment corresponds with features previously included in a A$1,000 optional Convenience Pack. The price changes apply to the hatchback; CarExpert reports no change to the sedan lineup, with the Ascent Sport Hybrid at A$32,585 and SX Hybrid at A$35,185, also before on-road costs.

The base hatch now includes front and rear parking sensors and Parking Support Brake. CarExpert says Parking Support Brake was previously available only on the SX and ZR grades.

Wireless Android Auto is newly standard across the lineup, according to CarExpert. The report does not specify other equipment changes.
Do not confuse Australian prices with US prices
The Australian grades and prices are separate from Toyota’s US-market 2027 Corolla Hatchback. Toyota’s US page lists SE at US$24,780 base MSRP and XSE at US$27,875 base MSRP, and estimates fuel economy at 32/41 mpg city/highway for SE and 30/38 mpg for XSE. Those are US figures, not prices or grades for the Australian update. Toyota also lists wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility for the US model. How the prices compare with alternatives
CarExpert cites a non-hybrid Mazda 3 starting at A$31,610 before on-road costs and a Honda Civic e:HEV at A$49,900 drive-away. The Civic figure includes a different price basis, and the Mazda is not a hybrid in the cited comparison. These starting figures alone do not establish which car offers better value; they do not provide a like-for-like comparison of equipment, powertrain, or transaction costs.
