Yes—the 2027 Nissan Z NISMO is available with a six-speed manual for the first time in the U.S. Nissan lists it at the same $67,260 MSRP as the nine-speed automatic. The manual adds a NISMO-specific short shifter and upgraded clutch.
Does the 2027 Nissan Z NISMO come in manual?
Yes. Nissan announced the six-speed manual on March 31, 2026, adding a choice to a grade previously offered in the U.S. with a nine-speed automatic. Nissan attributed the change to enthusiast demand but did not quantify that demand. Nissan’s announcement describes the manual’s short shifter and upgraded clutch.
The transmission is the key change for NISMO buyers—not a separate engine tune announced for the manual. Nissan rates the twin-turbo V6 at 420 horsepower and 384 lb-ft of torque. Those are manufacturer specifications, not independent test results.
How much is the manual Z NISMO?
In Nissan North America’s U.S. price announcement dated July 21, 2026, the Z NISMO 6MT and 9AT are each listed at $67,260 MSRP. The $1,325 destination and handling charge is additional. What else changes on the 2027 Z NISMO?
Nissan says the NISMO receives two-piece iron-aluminum brake rotors derived from the GT-R. The automaker claims they save 19 pounds of unsprung weight and improve thermal capacity. That describes Nissan’s stated hardware benefits; the announcement does not establish comparative braking performance from an independent test.

Nissan also announced broader 2027 Z updates. The revised fuel-tank design is intended to maintain fuel delivery during sustained high-lateral-force cornering. Sport and Performance get styling changes and available Shinkai Green Pearl Metallic paint, while Performance receives larger-diameter shock absorbers. These are model-year updates, not features exclusive to the NISMO manual.
When will the manual Z NISMO be available?
Nissan’s July 2026 announcement said the 2027 Z would reach dealerships in summer 2026. That is the company’s published schedule, not confirmation of a specific car’s current stock. Availability varies by dealer, so contact a local Nissan retailer for current inventory and ordering details.

What Nissan’s announcement does—and doesn’t—tell buyers
The release establishes that buyers can choose a manual or automatic at equal listed NISMO MSRP, and identifies the manual’s short shifter and upgraded clutch. It does not establish shift feel, lap times, comfort, fuel economy, or long-term reliability. Nissan vice president of product planning for Nissan U.S. and Canada Marco Fioravanti characterized the car as “the most exhilarating, driver-focused version of the seventh-generation Z yet,” a promotional description rather than an independently measured conclusion.
