How much does the 2026 Toyota bZ cost?
Toyota’s current U.S. model page lists the 2026 bZ XLE at $34,900 and the Limited at $43,300. Those are displayed base MSRPs; Toyota says prices can vary and directs shoppers to local offers or a dealer for current pricing. The announced XLE FWD price excludes DPH, and the displayed MSRP is not the complete amount a buyer may pay.

The comparison is specifically between the entry XLE FWD grades. Toyota’s 2025 announcement also listed the XLE AWD at $39,150 and Limited FWD at $41,800, so $37,070 was not the price of every 2025 bZ4X.
What changed with the lower-priced 2026 model?
Toyota renamed its North American bZ4X to bZ for the 2026 model year. Toyota’s May 2025 announcement describes exterior and interior updates, improved charging performance, revised power output, and increased range on selected configurations. These are manufacturer claims and specifications, not independent test results.

How do battery size and range vary by trim?
Toyota’s May 2025 announcement gives configuration-specific manufacturer-estimated range ratings. The 2026 XLE FWD uses a 57.7-kWh battery and is estimated at 235 miles; specified versions with a 74.7-kWh battery have different ratings. Toyota’s brochure comparison identifies 314 EPA-estimated miles for the 2026 XLE FWD Plus versus 252 EPA-estimated miles for the 2025 comparison vehicle, but that does not mean every 2026 trim gains the same range.

Toyota’s live model page separately displays 236 miles for XLE and 299 miles for Limited. Because the figures are presented by different sources and configurations, use the trim-specific listing for the vehicle being considered rather than treating one range rating as applicable to the whole bZ lineup. Weather and other conditions can affect range.
What charging capability and access does the 2026 bZ offer?
Toyota says the 2026 bZ uses a NACS inlet, giving drivers access to more than 25,000 additional Tesla Supercharger plugs in North America, alongside networks including IONNA, ChargePoint, and EVgo. All 2026 Toyota battery-electric vehicles include adapters for backward compatibility with SAE J1772 and CCS stations.

Toyota describes Plug & Charge as requiring one-time enrollment through the Toyota app. The Tesla Supercharger Network was the first network enabled for Plug & Charge on model-year 2026 vehicles, with other networks to follow. Toyota’s separate complimentary NACS-adapter offer for model-year 2023–25 bZ4X owners concerns older vehicles; it is not the included equipment description for the 2026 bZ.
Toyota estimates around 30 minutes for DC fast charging from 10% to 80% under ideal conditions at a compatible station. For Level 2 charging on a 240-volt supply, Toyota estimates around seven hours from 10% to 100% using the 11-kW onboard charger. The vehicle also includes a dual-voltage cable for Level 1 charging from a common household outlet. Actual charging time depends on the vehicle, charger, weather, and other environmental conditions.

What should buyers compare beyond the starting price?
- Match the grade and drivetrain. The $2,170 difference compares XLE FWD with XLE FWD; other trims and all-wheel-drive versions have different prices and specifications.
- Check the specific range rating. The entry XLE FWD, XLE FWD Plus, and Limited do not share one range figure.
- Confirm local pricing. Toyota’s displayed MSRP is a starting point. Check the local offer and dealer quote for the vehicle’s full price; no national or guaranteed discount is established by the listed MSRP.
- Consider home charging separately. Toyota says the 2026 bZ includes a dual-voltage cable. A Level 2 home charger is separate equipment, and installation depends on the home and electrical service.
Toyota’s 2025 bZ4X announcement discussed ChargePoint Home Flex as an optional purchase or lease addition for that model year and named Qmerit as an installer-finding resource. That announcement does not establish 2026 bZ package availability, current inventory, or installation costs.
