The current U.S. MINI Cooper Oxford Edition is a 2027 model-year package built on the Cooper C 2 Door and Cooper C 4 Door. It combines a lower starting MSRP with distinctive paint, a black roof, 18-inch wheels, heated equipment, parking technology and active-safety features. The useful ownership answer is more nuanced than one five-year total: MINI publishes the purchase price, warranty and early scheduled-maintenance coverage, while fuel, insurance, taxes, financing, depreciation, tires and repairs depend on your circumstances.

This guide separates the known figures from costs you must calculate locally, explains what to verify on the window sticker, and shows how to choose between the two body styles.

2027 MINI Cooper Oxford Edition price in the U.S.

MINI USA announced the Oxford Edition’s return for the 2027 model year on July 15, 2026. Orders are available through authorized MINI dealers. The prices below are manufacturer-stated MSRP figures, not guaranteed transaction prices.

Model MSRP Destination and handling MSRP plus D&H What remains extra
2027 Oxford Edition 2 Door $25,500 $1,350 $26,850 Tax, title, license, registration, dealer charges, financing and any market adjustment
2027 Oxford Edition 4 Door $26,500 $1,350 $27,850 Tax, title, license, registration, dealer charges, financing and any market adjustment
2027 standard Cooper 2 Door Cooper C $29,500 Not stated on the cited model page Not stated Tax, title, license, registration, dealer charges, financing and any market adjustment

The $1,350 destination and handling charge is separate from MSRP. Your dealer’s selling price can be higher or lower than MSRP, and the final out-the-door amount also depends on local taxes, registration, documentation fees, accessories, trade-in treatment and financing. Ask for a buyer’s order that shows every line item rather than relying on a web-listed price.

At stated MSRP, the Oxford 2 Door is $4,000 below the standard Cooper 2 Door Cooper C before destination. That is a useful comparison, not a promise that you will save $4,000 in a transaction. The standard car may be discounted differently, while an Oxford vehicle’s availability, dealer pricing or installed options can change the gap. Compare the exact build sheets and window stickers at the same dealer.

“The Oxford Edition has always represented one of the best values in the MINI lineup,” said Vikash Joshi, Product Manager, MINI USA, in the July 15, 2026 announcement. That is MINI’s positioning statement, not an independent value study.

What the 2027 Oxford Edition includes

The edition is based on the Cooper C 2 Door or Cooper C 4 Door. MINI’s announcement identifies the following package content and stated option values.

Area Oxford Edition equipment Important qualification
Exterior color Sunny Side Yellow, Blazing Blue Metallic or Nanuq White Metallic, each paired with a black contrast roof These are the three exclusive paint choices named for the 2027 edition.
Wheels and tires 18-inch Slide Spoke 2-Tone wheels with summer tires MINI assigns a stated $750 value to the wheel-and-tire equipment. Tire replacement is not the same as complimentary scheduled service.
Seats and trim Grey/Blue Vescin and cloth Sport Seats plus an Anthracite headliner Confirm upholstery and color on the individual vehicle’s sticker.
Comfort Heated front seats, heated steering wheel and panoramic moonroof Verify that the vehicle you are buying carries the listed equipment.
Lighting LED headlights with cornering lights Check the build sheet for the exact lighting description.
Driver assistance Blind Spot Detection, Lane Change Warning, Rear-Cross Traffic Warning, Rear Collision Prevention and Exit Warning These names describe the listed active-safety systems; operation and availability are vehicle-specific.
Parking and visibility Parking Assistant, MINI Head-Up Display, rear-view camera with Panorama View and Active Park Distance Control with Parking View The current Oxford page can change as model-year inventory is updated, so use the window sticker as the final equipment record.

MINI assigns a stated $650 value to the exclusive paint and black contrast-roof combination. The $650 and $750 figures are manufacturer option values, not independently verified savings or cash rebates. They also do not establish that every dealer will price the package the same way.

Why the window sticker matters

The live Oxford Edition page presents current listed features and availability, while the 2027 announcement establishes the model-year return and named package details. Online lineup pages can combine information across configurations or be updated during a model year. Before signing, match the vehicle identification number, body style, paint, roof, wheels, tires, seat material, moonroof, driver-assistance equipment and any dealer-installed accessories to the Monroney label and purchase order.

Performance and mechanical information

MINI’s Cooper C 2 Door page publishes 161 horsepower, 184 lb-ft of torque and a 0–60 mph time of 7.4 seconds. Those are manufacturer-published Cooper C figures, not an independent instrumented test of an Oxford Edition. The cited specification does not establish a separate 4 Door acceleration time, so do not assume the 4 Door will match the 2 Door’s result.

Both Oxford body styles use the Cooper C as their base designation, but the edition’s value proposition is primarily its bundled appearance, comfort and assistance equipment. If acceleration, ride, transmission or tire behavior is decisive for you, drive the exact body style and tire configuration you intend to buy.

Oxford Edition 2 Door or 4 Door?

Question 2 Door 4 Door
Stated Oxford MSRP $25,500 $26,500
Price difference before destination The 4 Door is $1,000 higher at stated Oxford MSRP.
Access Front occupants get the simplest access; rear-seat entry requires working around the front doors and seats. Separate rear doors make regular rear-passenger use easier.
Best fit Drivers who usually travel alone or with one passenger and prioritize the smaller two-door format. Owners who frequently carry adults, children or bulky items that benefit from easier rear access.
Published 0–60 figure 7.4 seconds for the Cooper C 2 Door, according to MINI. Not stated in the cited specifications.
Final buying check Confirm the exact equipment, tires, fees and dealer price on the vehicle you are considering.

Choose the 4 Door when access is a weekly requirement, not merely an occasional convenience. The $1,000 MSRP step is easier to justify if it prevents awkward rear-seat loading or makes child-seat installation practical. Choose the 2 Door when rear passengers are infrequent and you prefer its access pattern and published Cooper C performance reference. Neither body style should be selected from MSRP alone: inventory and dealer pricing can erase or widen the nominal difference.

Warranty, scheduled maintenance and roadside assistance

New-vehicle limited warranty

MINI states that its new passenger-car limited warranty lasts four years or 50,000 miles, whichever comes first. The mileage and time limits are alternatives, not cumulative allowances. Read the warranty booklet for covered components, exclusions, claim procedures and any regional terms.

Complimentary scheduled maintenance

MINI’s current model information says complimentary scheduled maintenance is available for up to three years or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first. The maintenance page identifies covered scheduled services as:

  • Engine oil services
  • Inspection services
  • Brake fluid service
  • Engine air-filter replacement
  • Cabin air microfilter replacement

Covered work must be scheduled with an authorized MINI dealer while the vehicle is within the applicable program period and subject to the program’s terms. This is scheduled-maintenance coverage, not a promise that every repair or consumable is free. Tires, damage, accident repairs, wear outside the listed services and work after the program ends should be budgeted separately unless a written contract says otherwise.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Roadside assistance

MINI states that roadside assistance is included for four years with unlimited miles, subject to terms and conditions. Keep the program information in the vehicle and confirm what events, towing distances and travel benefits apply in your area.

What ownership will still cost you

No official five-year ownership total or universal insurance estimate is established for this edition. A credible budget must keep the known manufacturer coverage separate from costs that vary by driver, location and use.

Cost category What is known How to estimate it
Purchase price MSRP and $1,350 destination charge are stated above. Obtain the dealer’s itemized out-the-door quote, including taxes, title, registration, documentation fees and accessories.
Financing No universal interest rate or payment is established. Use your amount financed, annual percentage rate, term, down payment and any manufacturer or lender program available to you.
Fuel A 2027 Oxford Edition EPA rating and a location-specific fuel budget are not established here. After verifying the EPA combined rating for the exact vehicle, calculate annual miles divided by combined mpg, multiplied by your local fuel price.
Insurance No single premium applies to every buyer. Request quotes using your ZIP code, age, driving record, coverage limits, deductible, annual mileage and garaging address.
Taxes and registration These are jurisdiction-specific. Ask your state or county motor-vehicle office, then reconcile the figures with the dealer’s contract.
Tires The Oxford package uses 18-inch wheels with summer tires. Price replacement tires, mounting, balancing, alignment and seasonal needs for your climate. The maintenance program does not establish tire replacement as covered.
Maintenance after the program Complimentary scheduled service ends at three years or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first. Request the dealer’s maintenance schedule and prices for the period you expect to keep the car.
Repairs after warranty The warranty ends at four years or 50,000 miles, whichever comes first. Consider an extended-service contract only after reading its covered-component list, deductible, administrator and exclusions.
Depreciation No independent depreciation statistic is established. Compare current used listings for similar MINI body styles and mileage, but treat any forecast as an estimate rather than a guarantee.

How to build a realistic ownership budget

  1. Start with the written purchase quote. Add the applicable Oxford MSRP and destination charge, then request taxes, title, registration, documentation fees, dealer-installed items, trade-in credit and deposits as separate lines.
  2. Separate cash price from financing. Compare the vehicle’s negotiated price independently from monthly payment. Check the amount financed, APR, term, total of payments and optional products.
  3. Verify the exact EPA label. Use the combined rating printed for the vehicle you will buy. Do not substitute an older Cooper rating, a different engine or a foreign-market WLTP number.
  4. Price insurance before ordering. Obtain quotes for both body styles if you are undecided; repair costs, replacement parts and insurer rating practices can produce different premiums.
  5. Plan for tires and climate. Summer tires may suit your driving conditions, but buyers in regions requiring winter tires should price a second tire set, storage and seasonal installation.
  6. Mark the coverage end dates. Put the three-year/36,000-mile maintenance limit and four-year/50,000-mile warranty limit on your calendar, using whichever limit arrives first.
  7. Add a post-coverage reserve. Ask for scheduled-service pricing after the complimentary period and decide how much monthly cash you want available for tires, wear items and unexpected repairs.
  8. Model depreciation for your ownership plan. If you may sell in two or three years, estimate a likely resale range from comparable local listings rather than assuming the original MSRP gap will be recovered.

Buying checklist for an Oxford Edition

  • Confirm that the vehicle is a 2027 Oxford Edition and identify whether it is the 2 Door or 4 Door.
  • Match the VIN and window sticker to the promised Sunny Side Yellow, Blazing Blue Metallic or Nanuq White Metallic paint and black roof, if selected.
  • Verify the 18-inch Slide Spoke 2-Tone wheels and summer tires, including tire condition on a dealer demonstration vehicle.
  • Check the Grey/Blue Vescin and cloth Sport Seats, Anthracite headliner, heated seats, heated steering wheel and panoramic moonroof.
  • Test the LED cornering lights, Head-Up Display, camera views, Parking Assistant and Active Park Distance Control.
  • Review every active-safety system listed on the sticker and ask the dealer to demonstrate its settings and alerts.
  • Ask which services are covered by the complimentary maintenance program and how appointments are scheduled.
  • Obtain an itemized out-the-door quote before discussing monthly payments.
  • Get insurance estimates and confirm local registration and tax amounts.
  • Save the warranty, maintenance and roadside-assistance terms with your purchase documents.

Do not use the 2025 Oxford price as a current quote

MINI’s 2025 launch announcement listed $24,950 for the 2 Door and $25,950 for the 4 Door, with $1,175 destination and handling. Those figures apply to model year 2025 and should not be used to price a 2027 purchase. The current 2027 announcement is the controlling reference for the edition’s stated MSRP and destination charge.

Is the Oxford Edition a good value?

It can be compelling for a buyer who wants the Cooper C platform with factory-fitted appearance, comfort and parking equipment rather than adding similar features one by one. MINI’s stated package values for the paint/roof combination and wheels/tires help explain the positioning, but they are not independent savings calculations. The lower Oxford MSRP relative to the standard Cooper 2 Door is meaningful only after you compare actual dealer prices, availability and equipment line by line.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

The 2 Door is the rational choice when rear-seat use is occasional and the published Cooper C performance reference matters to you. The 4 Door earns its premium when rear access is part of daily life. In either case, affordability depends on the complete ownership budget: a favorable sticker price can be offset by insurance, fuel, tires, financing or depreciation that is higher than your assumptions.

Bottom line

For 2027, the MINI Cooper Oxford Edition offers a clearly stated entry price, distinctive standard equipment and meaningful early coverage, but not a universal ownership total. Use the manufacturer’s MSRP and coverage periods as the starting facts, verify every item on the individual window sticker, and calculate local running costs before committing to the 2 Door or 4 Door.
