Kia’s announced price excludes a separate $1,545 destination charge, so the EX FWD totals $48,035 before taxes, title, license, options, dealer charges, or any dealer price adjustment. The hybrid is a non-plug-in, and its mileage estimates vary by trim and drivetrain.
2027 Telluride Hybrid prices and trims
Kia America announced these prices on February 26, 2026. The listed MSRPs exclude the $1,545 destination charge.

These are Kia-announced figures, not out-the-door prices. Kia says MSRP also excludes taxes, title, license, options, and dealer charges, and actual dealer prices may vary. Kia’s trim materials name five hybrid versions—EX, SX, X-Line SX, SX Prestige, and X-Line SX Prestige—but the February 2026 release does not list prices for every top trim. Check Kia’s trim comparison or a current dealer window sticker for those prices.
What the hybrid powertrain delivers
Kia specifies a 2.5-liter turbocharged engine paired with a 1.65-kWh lithium-ion battery and electric motors. The system is rated by Kia at 329 horsepower and 339 lb-ft of torque, with power sent through a six-speed automatic transmission. All-wheel drive is available.

This is not a plug-in hybrid: Kia says braking and deceleration energy is captured to recharge the battery, so the vehicle does not need to be plugged in. The quoted power figures are manufacturer specifications; the sources available here do not establish a comprehensive independent road test of the 2027 hybrid.

Kia also estimates a total driving range of 637 miles for the EX FWD. That range and its 35-mpg combined estimate are not figures for every Telluride Hybrid configuration; the AWD estimates, for example, are lower. Actual fuel economy and range can vary with driving and conditions.
Towing, seating, and cargo claims
Kia says the 2027 Telluride Hybrid has a standard 4,500-pound towing capacity and offers self-leveling rear suspension. Confirm the applicable limit and equipment for the specific configuration before towing. Kia also says the redesigned generation adds first- and second-row headroom, improves third-row access, and provides more cargo space than the previous generation; the announcement does not provide comparative measurements for those claims.

For family seating context, an Associated Press-hosted Edmunds comparison published May 20, 2026 says the Telluride Hybrid has standard second-row captain’s chairs and seats up to seven. The comparison says the Hyundai Palisade Hybrid also has standard captain’s chairs, but offers an available second-row bench for eight-passenger seating. Those are distinct seating configurations to consider when comparing the two three-row SUVs.

Kia’s model page advertises a 10-year/100,000-mile Hybrid Powertrain Limited Warranty. That headline should not be treated as a blanket guarantee: check Kia’s current warranty document for eligibility, exclusions, and applicable terms.

- Compare the full transaction price, including destination, taxes, title, license, options, dealer charges, and any dealer adjustment.
- Use the EPA estimate for the specific configuration rather than applying the EX FWD figure to an AWD model.
- If towing, verify the vehicle-specific rating and equipment with Kia or the dealer.
Kia America Vice President of Sales Eric Watson described the hybrid as hitting “the sweet spot” for SUV buyers. That is Kia’s promotional view, not an independent evaluation.
How the Palisade comparison should be made
The May 20, 2026 AP-hosted Edmunds comparison reported that the Telluride Hybrid started $7,300 above the gas Telluride when destination was included. That is a dated comparison, not a current price guarantee; verify both vehicles’ current, comparable base prices before using the difference to decide between them. For a useful comparison, match trim and drivetrain, then compare destination-inclusive prices, EPA estimates alongside any independent test results, passenger capacity, towing rating, AWD availability, equipment, and warranty terms.
