The spy photos previewed the 2027 Chrysler Pacifica, a second refresh of the current-generation minivan—not an all-new model. Chrysler’s February 2026 teaser images pointed to the biggest change at the front: vertically oriented headlights, an illuminated grille and a revised wing badge. The refreshed Pacifica was formally revealed at the New York International Auto Show on April 1, 2026.
What do the Pacifica spy photos show?
The photos and teaser imagery show a familiar overall body shape with a substantially revised front end. The most visible changes are vertical LED projector headlamps, an illuminated grille with a “piano keys” light signature, and a revised Chrysler wing badge. New wheel designs and exterior colors round out the visible updates.
Chrysler says the front design and illuminated badge are intended as a visual blueprint for future products from the brand. That makes the nose the design statement of this refresh, rather than evidence of a new body or platform.
Is the 2027 Pacifica a redesign?
No. It is a refresh of the current-generation Pacifica. Car and Driver described the body shape as unchanged, and Chrysler’s published specifications retain the existing 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 and nine-speed automatic. The spy photos do not establish a new platform or a clean-sheet body.

Rumors about a Hurricane four-cylinder, a new plug-in hybrid system or an all-new cabin are not confirmed by the information Chrysler has announced. The confirmed powertrain is the 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 paired with a TorqueFlite nine-speed automatic, rated by Chrysler at 287 horsepower and 262 lb.-ft. of torque.
What is confirmed to change for 2027?
Exterior and lighting
- New front fascia with vertical LED projector headlamps.
- Illuminated grille featuring a “piano keys” light signature.
- Revised Chrysler wing badge, new wheel designs and new exterior colors.
Seating and cabin
Stow ’n Go seating and storage continue, with seven-passenger seating across the lineup. Eight-passenger seating is available on Select, and Chrysler says the minivan offers up to 243 seating configurations. Pinnacle adds an exclusive Blue Agave Nappa leather interior with copper-accent details.

Liftgate and safety-camera equipment
An adjustable-height power liftgate is standard across all 2027 trims. Chrysler also lists an available enhanced Safety Sphere Package that includes turn-signal-activated blind-spot view and ParkSense-based camera activation.
When will the refreshed Pacifica be available, and what does it cost?
Chrysler opened U.S. orders on March 9, 2026, and said vehicles were scheduled to begin arriving at dealerships in summer 2026. The company’s order-opening release listed a $41,495 U.S. starting MSRP for the LX. Chrysler’s live product page later displayed $41,595, so treat the starting price as subject to change and confirm the current figure with the configurator or a dealer before ordering.

What carries over from the current Pacifica?
The familiar body shape, Stow ’n Go seating and storage, and Pentastar V-6 powertrain carry forward. Chrysler’s 2027 specifications do not support treating the spy photos as evidence of a newly engineered minivan. The changes described so far focus on styling and selected equipment.
Chrysler says it has sold more than 16.6 million minivans, including more than 1.15 million Pacifica models. Brand CEO Matt McAlear said, “Chrysler invented the minivan 43 years ago, and with more than 16.6 million sold, including more than 1.15 million Pacifica models, our leadership in this segment remains unmatched.”
