When will the BMW F 450 GS come to the US?
BMW Motorrad USA announced the F 450 GS as a 2027 model and expects its US market launch in Q1 2027. That is a projected launch window, not a confirmed date when customers can place orders or take delivery. BMW’s announcement does not give a dealer-delivery schedule. What are the production F 450 GS specifications?
BMW’s US production-model announcement specifies a 420 cc engine. The 450 in the model name should not be mistaken for the production displacement: BMW’s 2024 concept announcement described a 450 cc concept, while the later US release gives 420 cc for the production bike.

These are manufacturer-published specifications, not independent test results. The fuel specification above is the one in BMW’s US announcement; check local BMW documentation if buying outside the United States. BMW’s earlier concept announcement cited 450 cc and 175 kg for the concept, not the production bike. BMW announced these US MSRPs for the three configurations. The base-model MSRP is plus destination; the figures are not out-the-door prices.

What equipment comes on each version?
Standard F 450 GS
BMW lists ABS Pro, Dynamic Traction Control, heated grips, a 6.5-inch color TFT display with connectivity, USB-C, LED lighting, an engine skid plate, adjustable footbrake and shift levers, and an onboard computer as standard equipment.
Sport
The Sport adds Racing Red Metallic paint, wider off-road foot pegs, hand guards, Riding Modes Pro, Gear Shift Assist Pro, sport suspension with front rebound and compression adjustment, and a height-adjustable touring windshield.

GS Trophy
BMW lists Racing Blue Metallic paint, a white frame, Gear Shift Assist Pro, Riding Modes Pro, Easy Ride Clutch, sport suspension, hand protection, a silver engine guard or skid plate, and aluminum cross-spoked wheels for the GS Trophy.

How does navigation work?
BMW says its free BMW Motorrad Connected App can provide turn-by-turn directions on the TFT display. For map navigation, BMW names navigation preparation, the ConnectedRide Smartphone Cradle, and the ConnectedRide Navigator as options. The announcement does not establish exact accessory fitment or availability for every configuration; confirm compatibility with BMW or a dealer before buying an accessory.
What is confirmed—and what is still unknown?
The US production announcement establishes the engine, output, announced prices, listed equipment and expected Q1 2027 launch window. It does not establish a precise US sale date, a dealer-delivery schedule, independent road-test performance, or final out-the-door pricing. BMW CEO Markus Flasch described the motorcycle as “a genuine BMW GS in the 48 hp A2 class”; that is BMW’s positioning, not an independent assessment.
