The Aston Martin Valhalla is the marque’s first series-production mid-engine plug-in hybrid supercar. Its 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 works with three electric motors for a combined 1,079 PS—listed as 1,064 hp in Aston Martin’s 2025 brochure. The 1,065-hp headline is a rounded rendering of that combined system output, not the V8’s standalone rating.
What is Aston Martin’s first hybrid?
It is the Valhalla’s hybrid powertrain—not a “hybrid engine.” The distinction matters: the car combines a combustion engine with electric motors, a battery and control systems. Aston Martin describes Valhalla as its first series-production mid-engine plug-in hybrid.
How does the Valhalla powertrain work?
A bespoke 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 is paired with three electric motors. Two motors form the front Electric Drive Unit, while the third is integrated into the dual-clutch transmission.
- Front axle: The two independent motors can drive the front wheels, vector torque across that axle and provide propulsion in EV mode.
- Transmission: The third motor serves as a starter-generator and can provide torque fill.
- Driven wheels: The front motors enable all-wheel drive when working with the V8 and rear drivetrain.
Aston Martin’s Valhalla model page describes the motor layout and functions.

How much power does the Aston Martin Valhalla have?
Aston Martin quotes combined system output of 1,079 PS and 1,100 Nm. Its 2025 brochure expresses the same system rating as 1,064 hp and 811 lb-ft. The headline figure of 1,065 hp is a rounded rendering; these are combined powertrain figures, not the V8’s engine-only output. The different PS and hp figures reflect different units, rather than a separate engine rating.
What are the Valhalla’s performance claims?
Aston Martin claims 0–100 km/h (0–62 mph) in 2.5 seconds and an electronically limited top speed of 350 km/h (217 mph). These are manufacturer figures, not independently measured test results.

Can the Valhalla drive on electric power alone?
Yes. Aston Martin says the front electric motors allow EV-mode propulsion. The company lists a 6.1-kWh, 150-kW, 400-V battery on its Türkiye model page. A dependable electric-range figure is not stated in the cited specifications, so the battery capacity alone should not be taken as evidence of a particular range.

Production is limited to 999 cars. Aston Martin’s FY2025 results report says production and deliveries began in Q4 2025; it records 152 cars produced and wholesaled during 2025, with approximately 500 further deliveries expected in 2026. Those are company-reported production and delivery figures, not a statement that all 999 cars had been delivered.
