It adds larger dual fuel tanks, cruise control, lean-sensitive rider aids and touring-focused equipment over the standard Ténéré 700.
The standard 2026 Ténéré 700 remains the less expensive option at $10,999 MSRP. Whether riders will “crave” either bike is a prediction, not a measured market result: Yamaha says U.S. customer demand for the World Raid has been strong, but that is the company’s characterization rather than an independent survey or sales forecast.
What is the 2026 Yamaha Ténéré 700 World Raid?
The World Raid is a long-distance variant of Yamaha’s Ténéré 700 adventure motorcycle, not a replacement for the standard model. Yamaha announced the World Raid for U.S. dealers on February 27, 2026, with availability beginning in May. Dealer-by-dealer stock can differ, so the announcement does not guarantee that a particular showroom has one available.
Yamaha Motorcycle Product Line Senior Manager Derek Brooks said, “Since the Ténéré 700 World Raid was launched overseas, this has been one of the most demanded products from our customers in the U.S.” That is Yamaha’s statement about customer interest; it is not an independently measured demand figure.

How much does the 2026 Yamaha Ténéré 700 cost?
Yamaha’s U.S. product page lists the standard Ténéré 700 at $10,999 MSRP, plus a $675 destination charge. The World Raid’s announced U.S. MSRP is $12,999. These are manufacturer-listed prices, not out-the-door quotes: the standard-model page says MSRP excludes taxes, licensing, registration, destination and dealer-installed options, and that dealer prices may vary.

Fuel and touring equipment
The World Raid’s 6.1-gallon dual-tank setup is its clearest long-distance advantage over the standard bike’s 4.2-gallon capacity. Yamaha claims more than 300 miles of range for the World Raid. Treat that as a manufacturer claim, not a guaranteed distance: speed, terrain, load and riding style affect real-world range.
Electronics and suspension
The standard Ténéré 700 has ride-by-wire throttle maps, selectable traction control and three-mode selectable ABS. Yamaha describes the World Raid as adding a six-axis IMU and lean-sensitive rider aids, along with cruise control. The manufacturer also cites suspension and comfort changes for the World Raid, but the announcement does not give a directly comparable suspension-travel figure.

Which 2026 Ténéré 700 makes more sense?
- Choose the standard Ténéré 700 if its lower listed MSRP and 4.2-gallon capacity suit your riding plans, and the World Raid’s additional touring features are not priorities.
- Consider the World Raid if the dual tanks, Yamaha-claimed range, cruise control, lean-sensitive rider aids and touring-oriented changes match the longer rides you expect to take.
Both are part of Yamaha’s 2026 Ténéré 700 family. Yamaha says the standard model returns unchanged from model year 2025, while the World Raid adds the long-distance equipment rather than displacing it.
Is the World Raid actually available in the United States?

What does Yamaha’s demand claim establish?
Yamaha’s Derek Brooks described the World Raid as one of the company’s most demanded products from U.S. customers after its overseas launch. That provides the manufacturer’s rationale for bringing it to U.S. dealers, but no independent U.S. survey, sales statistic or forecast is established by the cited sources. The bike’s appeal is therefore best judged by its price and equipment, not by treating “will crave” as a proven market outcome.
