What changed on the 2024 Zero DS and DSR?
The headline change was an adventure-oriented redesign. Cycle World’s 2024 buyer’s guide describes a larger upper fairing and a taller windscreen that creates a more enclosed cockpit. For buyers, the distinction matters: the DS and DSR are related models, but trim, equipment and published specifications can vary by market. Confirm the exact model-year specification and included equipment for the motorcycle being offered rather than relying on a generalized description of the family.
What do the published 2024 DSR figures show?
Zero’s Polish-market, manufacturer-branded 2024 DSR specification sheet lists the following figures. They are published specifications, not independently measured results, and should be treated as specific to that regional sheet.

How long does the 2024 DSR take to charge?
On the same Poland-market sheet, Zero lists 3.9 hours from 0 to 95% using standard charging, or 1.4 hours from 0 to 95% with a 6 kW rapid charger. The rapid-charge figure assumes compatible rapid-charging equipment; it is not the standard-charge time. The sheet states that technical data and prices may change without notice. How should you compare the DS and DSR?
Start with the exact market and trim, then compare like with like. A city-range claim is not directly comparable to a highway-range claim, and a charging estimate with optional rapid equipment should not be compared with standard charging as if the setup were identical.

- Charging: Confirm whether the quoted time assumes standard charging or an optional rapid charger, and verify that the bike and equipment are compatible.
- Price and included equipment: Ask the seller for a written, market-specific quote and a list of what is included.

Zero Motorcycles of Everett listed a 2024 DS at $15,995 and a 2024 DSR at $19,995. These are dealer-listed prices, not verified manufacturer suggested retail prices or current nationwide transaction prices; inventory and asking prices can change. Zero’s live New Zealand comparison page lists the current DS at 249 km city range and 161 km high-speed highway commuting range, along with a 139 km/h maximum speed, 132 Nm torque, 45 kW and 239 kg. Those figures describe the current DS shown on that page; they are not proof of the specifications of every 2024 DS, nor should they replace the regional 2024 DSR figures above.
