The new Suzuki Across is a plug-in hybrid SUV with a Toyota-manufactured engine, but Suzuki’s published specifications do not establish that the entire vehicle is mechanically identical to the Toyota RAV4. In Germany, Suzuki announced the Across Comfort+ at €55,490, with 129 km of WLTP combined electric range and first deliveries expected in autumn 2026.
Is the Suzuki Across just a Toyota RAV4?
“Rebadged RAV4” is a useful shorthand for the Across’s close Toyota connection, but it goes further than the available official evidence. Suzuki Deutschland’s August 2026 specification identifies the 2.5-litre A25A-FXS petrol engine as manufactured by Toyota. That confirms a Toyota-built engine; it does not, by itself, prove that every component, body feature or system is identical to the RAV4. Suzuki’s German technical specifications are the clearest source for the Across’s listed equipment and powertrain.
The new Across is a plug-in hybrid SUV. Its figures, trim and price depend on the market, so a German Comfort+ price or specification should not be assumed to apply elsewhere.
How much does the new Suzuki Across cost?
Official Suzuki announcements give different prices in three European markets. These are market-specific figures announced in 2026, not a single pan-European price.

For a local quote, check the current Suzuki price list and confirm the trim, taxes, fees and any incentives with a dealer. The national announcements do not provide a like-for-like equipment comparison across these markets. What is the new Suzuki Across’s electric range?
Suzuki Deutschland lists 129 km of combined electric range under WLTP for its German Comfort+ specification. This is a manufacturer figure under a standardized test cycle, not a promise of the distance every driver will cover on a charge. Driving conditions and vehicle use affect real-world range; no independent road-test range figure is established here.

The same German technical table lists 16.3 kWh/100 km in electric operation. With the battery discharged, it gives combined fuel consumption of 5.4 l/100 km. Its weighted figures are 13.0 kWh/100 km plus 1.4 l/100 km, with weighted CO₂ emissions of 32 g/km. These are the manufacturer’s German-market figures; the test basis matters, so the weighted result should not be read as the car’s fuel consumption after the battery is depleted.
How does the Across compare with the sixth-generation Toyota RAV4 PHEV?
Toyota Motor Europe states that the sixth-generation RAV4 plug-in hybrid can achieve up to 137 km of combined WLTP electric range. That is 8 km more than Suzuki Deutschland’s German Across figure, but the numbers come from different manufacturers’ market-specific claims. They are not results from a same-condition independent comparison. Toyota Motor Europe’s RAV4 announcement provides its published range figure.

These figures help identify the main comparison points, not declare a winner. Buyers should compare prices and included equipment in the same country, then check the exact trim, drivetrain, warranty, servicing and local dealer availability. The available figures do not establish a same-country, same-trim independent test. Toyota España said orders for the sixth-generation RAV4 were open, with first deliveries expected in early June 2026. Toyota España’s announcement gives its Spanish-market details.

Suzuki Deutschland’s August 2026 technical table describes a five-seat Comfort+ plug-in hybrid with a 2,487 cc four-cylinder petrol engine, Toyota A25A-FXS engine code and 227 kW/309 PS combined system output. It pairs a CVT at the front axle with an electric motor at the rear and lists permanently available electronically controlled all-wheel drive. Maximum speed is 180 km/h.

The same German specification lists a 55-litre fuel tank, luggage capacity of 446–672 litres with the rear seats in use depending on measurement or configuration, and 1,647 litres with the second row folded. Maximum braked trailer load is 2,000 kg. Verify local homologation and trim before relying on these figures outside Germany.
When can I buy the new Suzuki Across?
In Germany, Suzuki announced on 26 August 2026 that orders for the Across Plug-in Hybrid Comfort+ were open, with first deliveries expected in autumn 2026. That timing applies to the German announcement; availability and delivery dates in other countries may differ. The Netherlands and Italy announcements establish their respective market pricing, but do not provide the same German delivery timetable.
