Subaru describes the Trailseeker as an all-electric SUV with dual motors and standard Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive. The manufacturer calls it “an all-electric SUV built for high-energy adventure.” That is Subaru of America’s description, rather than an independent assessment of its off-road capability.
Subaru’s current U.S. model page lists 375 horsepower and 8.5 inches of ground clearance. Those figures suggest the Trailseeker is positioned as an electric SUV with a focus on power and utility, but they do not by themselves establish how it performs in real-world driving or on trails.
What are the Trailseeker’s range and charging claims?
Subaru’s current U.S. model page lists up to 281 miles of available range. It also says charging from 10% to 80% takes about 28 minutes under the vehicle’s stated charging capability. That is a manufacturer estimate, not a guarantee for every charging stop: actual time can vary with the charger, battery state and conditions.

Why older launch information gives a different range
At the April 2025 U.S. reveal, Subaru described a 74.7-kWh lithium-ion battery and said the Trailseeker offered more than 260 miles of range, based on preliminary information. Subaru Canada’s announcement specifically said that estimate was preliminary factory testing and not an official figure under NRCan’s fuel-consumption-guide parameters. Subaru’s current U.S. page lists up to 281 miles. These are claims from different points in the vehicle’s rollout and should not be treated as equivalent test results.

When will the Trailseeker be available?
Subaru’s April 2025 U.S. launch announcement said nationwide sales would begin in 2026. Subaru Canada’s pricing announcement said Canadian dealers would receive the vehicle in spring 2026. These were dated market-specific plans, not confirmation of current stock at any individual dealership. Check local Subaru inventory for availability where you live.
