The 2026 Subaru Solterra has a U.S. starting MSRP of $38,495 for the Premium and tops out at $45,855 for the Touring XT with Black plus Blue Leather. Subaru lists destination and delivery separately, so neither figure is the complete price you should expect on a dealer quote.
How much does the 2026 Subaru Solterra cost?
Subaru’s U.S. comparison lists five 2026 configurations, with starting MSRPs from $38,495 to $45,855. The figures below are manufacturer suggested retail prices, before destination and delivery, taxes, title, registration, retailer pricing, or dealer-installed items.

Does the Solterra price include destination?
No. Subaru’s September 2025 price sheet lists destination and delivery separately at $1,450 in its main pricing table. It also identifies geographic variations: destination and delivery may vary in Connecticut, Hawaii, Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, and Vermont; Alaska retailers are listed at $1,600. Confirm the charge that applies to the vehicle and location in your written quote.

The $45,855 Touring XT figure is a starting MSRP for a listed configuration, not an out-the-door price. Your final amount can also include taxes, title and registration, retailer-set pricing, and dealer-installed items. Subaru’s 2026 Solterra pricing sheet provides the manufacturer’s listed charge and regional qualifications.
What changes as the Solterra price rises?
Motor output and efficiency
Subaru says the Premium and Limited use dual electric motors rated at 233 horsepower, while XT trims are rated at 338 horsepower. All trims have standard all-wheel drive, which Subaru calls Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive.

Subaru estimates up to 288 miles of range on a charge. Its current 2026 trim comparison lists up to 109 highway/131 city MPGe for Premium and 105 highway/128 city MPGe for the other configurations. These are manufacturer-published estimates, not independent test results; range and efficiency are not guaranteed in every driving or weather condition.
Battery and charging
Subaru’s September 2025 announcement specifies a 74.7-kWh lithium-ion battery, battery preconditioning, DC fast-charging capability up to 150 kW, and an 11 kW onboard charger. Subaru says the onboard charger enables quicker home charging than the previous model year, but does not state one universal home-charging time. Actual time depends on the charging equipment, electrical service, and site conditions.

If you are planning home charging, check that a Level 2 charger’s connector fits the vehicle and that your electrical service can support the installation. Installation requirements and costs depend on the home and local conditions; Subaru’s charger specifications do not endorse a particular charger.
Comfort and technology
Subaru lists EyeSight driver-assistance technology and a 14-inch multimedia system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The Premium description includes heated front seats, a 10-way power driver’s seat, and roof rails. The Touring XT description adds a panoramic glass roof with motorized sunshade, ventilated front seats, a driver and front-passenger radiant leg heater, and a digital rearview mirror with camera washer. Verify equipment on the specific configuration and vehicle you are considering.

Which 2026 Solterra trim should you compare?
Start with the features you will use rather than assuming the highest-priced version is the best value. Compare the local quote—including destination and delivery—with the differences that matter to you:
- Premium: The lowest listed starting MSRP, with Subaru’s stated 233-hp powertrain and the highest listed MPGe figures among the configurations.
- Limited: A higher starting price than Premium; Subaru lists the same 233-hp output and lower MPGe figures than Premium.
- Limited XT: The 338-hp XT powertrain at a lower starting MSRP than Touring XT.
- Touring XT: The highest starting MSRP among the standard named trims and the Touring-specific comfort equipment Subaru describes.
- Touring XT, Black plus Blue Leather: The top listed configuration price at $45,855.
Subaru of America’s September 25, 2025 announcement also said a new 2026 Solterra purchase or lease would include up to 10 days of Subaru Just Drive Rental at no charge through a participating Subaru retailer. Check with the retailer for current offer terms and eligibility before counting on it.
