Ram’s 2026 Lunar Editions pair the Power Wagon with a 6.4-liter HEMI V-8 and off-road hardware such as a 12,000-pound winch, while the Rebel gets a 6.7-liter Cummins High-Output diesel and higher manufacturer-stated maximum towing and payload figures. Both add the same distinctive grey-and-black styling and much of the same cabin equipment. The right choice depends less on the shared appearance than on your engine preference, intended loads and off-road priorities.
What the 2026 Lunar Edition package adds
Ram announced the returning packages on March 3, 2026, alongside a total lunar eclipse. The package is priced at $1,995, according to Ram’s announcement.
Both trucks get Ceramic Grey Clear-Coat paint, a Diamond Black Crystal Pearl-Coat lower body, Ceramic Grey grille surround, Gloss Black Lunar graphics and black-painted wheels. The Power Wagon wears 17-inch wheels; the Rebel has 20-inch wheels.
The shared interior treatment includes black Natura Plus leather bucket seats with embossed model logos, Copperhead Orange contrast stitching, an alloy center-console badge and an integrated, lockable Mopar console safe.

Specifications and equipment in the table are from Ram’s announcement; output and capability figures are manufacturer claims, not independent test results. Maximum payload and towing depend on vehicle configuration. Consult the truck’s specific ratings and your intended trailer or load before buying.
Different off-road hardware, different emphasis
Power Wagon: recovery and articulation equipment
Ram highlights the Power Wagon’s front disconnecting sway bar, front and rear electronic locking differentials, 33-inch tires, factory two-inch lift and Articulink front suspension. Its Level 2 equipment also includes the integrated WARN winch and Mopar rock rails. That combination makes the Power Wagon the more clearly specified choice here for buyers who prioritize recovery gear and off-road suspension features.

Rebel: diesel torque and load figures
The Rebel’s listed off-road equipment includes fuel-tank and transfer-case skid plates, 34-inch tires and a rear electronic locker. Automatic-leveling rear air suspension is available. Its diesel engine and higher published maximum payload and towing figures may better suit buyers whose priorities include torque and heavier loads, subject to the rating of the exact configuration.
What Level 2 equipment they share
The Lunar Edition packages are based on the Level 2 Equipment Group. Ram lists a 14.5-inch Uconnect 5 central touchscreen, a 10.25-inch front-passenger display, a 17-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, power-adjustable pedals, passive entry and rain-sensitive wipers. The group’s trim-specific additions differ: the Power Wagon gets the winch and rock rails, while the Rebel gets power-deployable running boards. The 2026 Ram 2500/3500 Heavy Duty Buyer’s Guide also lists the displays, audio system and trim-specific running boards.

Announced prices and ordering timing
Ram’s March 3, 2026 announcement listed starting prices, including destination, of $86,385 for the 2026 Ram 2500 Power Wagon Lunar Edition and $93,885 for the 2026 Ram 2500 Rebel Lunar Edition. The stated Lunar Edition package price was $1,995. Ram said ordering would begin later in March 2026. Those are announcement figures and timing; they do not establish current dealer inventory, availability or transaction prices.

- Choose the Power Wagon for its announced off-road kit if the winch, front and rear lockers, sway-bar disconnect and factory lift are central to your use.
- Consider the Rebel if diesel torque and higher published maximum ratings matter more for the loads or trailers you expect to handle. Verify the ratings for the exact truck you would buy.
- Compare the whole configuration, not only the Lunar styling. The engines use different fuels, wheel sizes differ, and the Level 2 equipment includes different trim-specific hardware.
The packages share a visual theme and several cabin upgrades, but they do not make the two trucks mechanically interchangeable. Ram’s announcement frames the Power Wagon around off-road hardware and the Rebel around its diesel powertrain and higher stated maximum payload and towing capacities.
