The headline 1,139 hp belongs to the Turbo, and its 400-kW charging figure is a conditional peak—not a rate every charger or charging session will deliver. Porsche’s U.S. site now lists the electric lineup as 2027 models, including a Cayenne S Electric added after the two-model launch announcement.
What the 1,139-hp figure means
Porsche USA lists 1,139 hp for the Cayenne Turbo Electric with Launch Control. That is the U.S. horsepower equivalent of the 850 kW Porsche reported for the Turbo at launch; the European announcement expressed the same output as 1,156 PS. The figures use different horsepower units, not different powertrains. Porsche quotes 1,500 Nm of torque, 0–60 mph in 2.4 seconds, and a 162-mph top track speed for the Turbo. Porsche’s November 19, 2025 launch announcement gives the European-market performance figures, while Porsche USA’s current Cayenne Electric listing provides the U.S. figures.
Turbo output depends on driving mode
The Turbo’s 850 kW is its Launch Control peak, not its continuous normal-driving rating. Porsche says normal driving mode provides up to 630 kW (857 PS); a 10-second Push-to-Pass boost adds 130 kW (176 PS). The Turbo has all-wheel drive, Porsche Traction Management, and a rear motor with direct oil cooling.
The entry Cayenne Electric is not the Turbo
The standard Cayenne Electric is rated at 300 kW (408 PS) in normal operation and 325 kW (442 PS) with Launch Control. Porsche gives a 0–100 km/h time of 4.8 seconds. Both launch models have all-wheel drive and electronic Porsche Traction Management.

How fast is the Cayenne Electric, and how much range does it have?
Porsche’s launch figures distinguish the two models. The Turbo reaches 0–100 km/h in 2.5 seconds and has a stated top speed of 260 km/h; the U.S. page instead quotes 0–60 mph and top track speed. These are different measurement conventions, so they should not be treated as identical test figures.
| Launch model | Power | Acceleration and top speed | Maximum stated range |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cayenne Electric | 300 kW (408 PS) normal; 325 kW (442 PS) with Launch Control | 0–100 km/h in 4.8 seconds; top speed not stated in the launch announcement | Up to 642 km WLTP |
| Cayenne Turbo Electric | Up to 630 kW (857 PS) in normal driving mode; up to 850 kW (1,156 PS) with Launch Control | 0–100 km/h in 2.5 seconds; 260 km/h top speed | Up to 623 km WLTP |
Range figures are Porsche’s maximum WLTP claims from its November 2025 launch announcement, not U.S. EPA ratings or promises of real-world distance. Porsche identifies a newly developed 113-kWh high-voltage battery with double-sided cooling. The U.S. product page provides market-specific vehicle information; do not convert the WLTP numbers into EPA estimates.

What does 400-kW charging mean in practice?
Porsche describes DC charging at up to 390 kW at a suitable charging point and says up to 400 kW is possible under specific conditions. The 400-kW number is a peak achieved with a CCS station supplying more than 400 kW, more than 850 V and more than 520 A, with the battery at 40–42°C and starting at 45–48% state of charge. It is not the charging rate to expect throughout a session.
Porsche claims a 10–80% DC charge in under 16 minutes under optimal conditions. For its stated 390-kW maximum during a 10–80% charge, Porsche specifies a station over 390 kW, over 850 V and 520 A, a battery at 15°C, a 9% starting state of charge, and remaining range below 60 km. Porsche USA describes a 16.0-minute figure under optimal conditions with a charger over 390 kW, over 850 V and 520 A and a battery temperature of 73°F. Charger capability, battery temperature and starting charge therefore matter; a compatible fast charger alone does not guarantee that time. See Porsche’s Cayenne Electric charging press kit for the operating assumptions.

How the U.S. lineup and prices differ from the launch lineup
The November 2025 launch introduced the Cayenne Electric and Cayenne Turbo Electric. Porsche USA currently lists those alongside the Cayenne S Electric and labels all three as 2027 models. The supplied headline’s 2026 refers to the debut-era framing; shoppers in the U.S. should use the current model-year designation on Porsche’s listing.

|---|---|---|
| Cayenne Electric | $109,000 | 2027 |
| Cayenne S Electric | $126,300 | 2027 |

What Porsche’s performance and efficiency claims do—and do not—establish
Porsche says recuperation can reach 600 kW and estimates that electric motors handle about 97% of braking operations in everyday use. Those are manufacturer statements, not independent road-test measurements. The cited sources establish official specifications and conditional claims, but do not establish independent comparative results or real-world range and charging performance.
