The 2026 Porsche 911 Turbo S is a 400-volt T-Hybrid offered as a Coupe or Cabriolet. Porsche announced it on September 7, 2025, quoting 701 hp and 590 lb-ft for the U.S. car; its Germany-market technical data lists 711 PS and 800 Nm. Porsche also claims a 0–60 mph time of 2.4 seconds with Launch Control and a 200 mph top track speed for the U.S. version. These are manufacturer figures, not independent test results.
What’s new about the 2026 Porsche 911 Turbo S?
The headline change is a new T-Hybrid powertrain for the range-topping 911 Turbo S. It pairs a 3.6-liter six-cylinder boxer engine with two electric exhaust turbochargers, a compact high-voltage battery and an electric motor integrated into the eight-speed PDK transmission. Porsche says the eTurbos improve responsiveness. The system also brings standard electrohydraulic Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC) roll stabilization, according to Porsche’s announcement.
Porsche frames the model as a more comfortable, customizable and faster successor, intended for everyday use, long highway trips and track driving. That is the manufacturer’s positioning, not a finding from independent testing.
Is the 2026 911 Turbo S a hybrid?
Yes. Porsche calls it a T-Hybrid, a 400-volt performance-hybrid system. The Germany-market technical sheet specifies a 1.9-kWh battery, a maximum electric-motor output of 60 kW and maximum motor torque of 188 Nm. The electric motor is built into the PDK, while the two eTurbos are part of the turbocharging system.

How much horsepower does the new Turbo S have?
Use the figure for the market and unit system being discussed. Porsche Cars North America’s 2025 announcement gives the U.S. car 701 hp (523 kW) and 590 lb-ft of maximum torque. Porsche AG’s Germany-market technical data, marked MY T 10/2025, gives 711 PS (also 523 kW) and 800 Nm. The different horsepower labels reflect localized reporting and units; PS and U.S. hp are not identical units. Porsche notes that technical data can vary by country.

What do the Coupe and Cabriolet specifications tell you?
Porsche offers the Turbo S in both Coupe and Cabriolet body styles. The choice is primarily between a fixed-roof coupe and an open-top format; the available figures do not establish details such as roof operation, cargo capacity or delivery timing.
For Germany-market data, Porsche lists a power-to-weight ratio of 2.43 kg/PS for the Coupe and 2.55 kg/PS for the Cabriolet. Porsche’s EU press kit reports WLTP combined fuel consumption of 11.7–11.5 l/100 km for the Coupe and 11.8–11.6 l/100 km for the Cabriolet. These are EU WLTP figures, not U.S. EPA fuel-economy ratings.

How much does the 2026 Turbo S weigh, and what chassis equipment is standard?
Porsche Cars North America lists U.S.-market curb weight at 3,829 lb, 180 lb more than the predecessor. Porsche attributes the added mass to the new model’s hybrid technology. The EU material separately identifies electrohydraulic PDCC as standard, with Porsche linking chassis development to agility, stability, comfort and driveability. Weight and equipment descriptions should be read in their stated market context rather than treated as universal specifications.
What is not established by the published figures?
The cited materials establish Porsche’s announced specifications and claims, but not independent instrumented performance results. They also do not establish a current U.S. MSRP, order status, dealer allocation, delivery schedule, insurance cost or maintenance cost. Porsche’s Germany-market technical sheet cautions that technical data may vary by country.
