The 2026 Porsche 911 Turbo S makes 701 hp and 590 lb-ft from a twin-turbo flat-six assisted by Porsche’s T-Hybrid system. Porsche rates the Coupe at 0–60 mph in 2.4 seconds and a 200-mph top track speed. The hybrid hardware is built to sharpen response and support performance, not to provide electric-only driving.

What makes the 2026 Turbo S a hybrid?

Its powertrain combines a 3.6-liter twin-turbo flat-six with two electric exhaust-gas turbochargers, an electric motor integrated into the eight-speed PDK transmission, and a compact 1.9-kWh high-voltage battery. Porsche’s T-Hybrid system uses electric assistance to help build boost more responsively than a conventional exhaust-only turbo arrangement. The motor and battery also support the combustion engine while recovering energy from the exhaust stream.

This is a performance-focused hybrid arrangement, not an electric-driving mode: Porsche describes the system as supporting the engine and recuperating energy, and does not cite electric-only driving for the Turbo S.

How much power and how fast is it?

Porsche AG lists system output at 701 hp (523 kW) and 590 lb-ft of torque. Torque is available from 2,300 to 6,000 rpm; peak power arrives from 6,500 to 7,000 rpm.

How does it compare with the previous Turbo S?

Porsche’s official comparison says the 2026 model adds 61 hp of system output, reaches 60 mph 0.2 seconds sooner, and is approximately 14 seconds quicker around the Nürburgring Nordschleife. The table reports only those stated differences; Porsche’s cited comparison does not provide a separate set of predecessor figures here.

What body styles and chassis features are offered?

The Turbo S is offered as a Coupe and a Cabriolet. Both are described with all-wheel drive, revised active aerodynamics, and an optimized chassis. Porsche’s regional material lists electro-hydraulically controlled Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (ehPDCC) as standard; standard equipment can vary by market, so check the specification for the country where you plan to buy.

Porsche USA’s 2026 page lists a U.S. starting MSRP of $270,300. That figure is before options, taxes, title, registration, delivery, dealer charges, and any applicable tariffs. Could it work as a daily driver?

Porsche presents the Turbo S as a car for daily use, long highway trips, and track driving. The automaker’s 911 and 718 model-line vice president, Frank Moser, called it “the most complete and versatile way to drive a Porsche 911,” and said the new model is more comfortable and customizable as well as faster than its predecessor. All-wheel drive and the availability of two body styles add practical choice, but the performance figures alone do not establish everyday comfort or running costs.

There are important ownership details that Porsche’s cited specifications do not settle: they do not establish fuel economy, real-world range, long-term reliability, insurance costs, or the price of option packages. Treat the published acceleration and lap claims as performance specifications, not as a substitute for a road test or an ownership-cost estimate.

What Porsche’s track claims do—and do not—show

Porsche development driver and brand ambassador Jörg Bergmeister said the new car is more agile, has more grip, and is significantly faster than its predecessor in relevant track sections. That is a manufacturer representative’s assessment, alongside Porsche’s published Nürburgring result; it is not an independent comparison. Buyers weighing the Turbo S against another sports car can compare output and torque range, acceleration, top speed, body style, hybrid layout, chassis and aerodynamic equipment, manufacturer-reported lap evidence, and starting MSRP—but should keep test source and conditions in view when comparing performance numbers.
