The 2026 Nissan Murano adds available ProPILOT Assist 2.1 and expands the comfort equipment available with the SL Comfort package. Nissan lists three U.S. trims, all with all-wheel drive, at MSRPs from $41,670 to $49,800 before a $1,545 destination and handling charge. The available information does not establish whether those prices are unchanged from 2025, so a claim that the Murano avoids a price hike is not verified.
What’s new on the 2026 Nissan Murano?
Nissan’s September 25, 2025 announcement identifies two notable updates: an available higher-level driver-assistance system and more comfort equipment available through the SL Comfort package.
ProPILOT Assist 2.1
ProPILOT Assist 2.1 is available in the Platinum Technology package. Nissan describes it as enabling hands-off freeway driving on compatible roads, while the driver remains attentive. Lane Change Assist can recommend and help with passing slower vehicles. This is a limited driver-assistance feature, not unrestricted autonomous driving. Nissan’s announcement provides the package and feature details.
Expanded SL Comfort package
The 2026 SL Comfort package expands availability of ventilated and massaging front seats, heated rear seats, and a motion-activated power liftgate. That gives SL shoppers a route to these comfort features without automatically stepping up to the Platinum grade.

Which 2026 Murano trim makes sense?
The right grade depends on whether you prioritize a lower starting price, connected technology and a panoramic roof, or the Platinum’s premium equipment and access to ProPILOT Assist 2.1 through its Technology package.

SL AWD: added connected tech and comfort options
The SL costs $5,090 more than the SV at the announced MSRPs. Nissan identifies Google built-in and a panoramic moonroof as SL features. The expanded SL Comfort package is worth considering if ventilated or massaging front seats, heated rear seats, or the motion-activated liftgate matter to you.

Powertrain, fuel economy, and standard safety features
Nissan specifies a 2.0-liter VC-Turbo engine rated at 241 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. Its current U.S. trim page lists EPA-style city/highway/combined figures of 21/27/23 mpg and regular unleaded fuel. These are manufacturer specifications, not independent performance or fuel-economy test results. Nissan’s current trim specifications list the figures.
Nissan says Safety Shield 360 and ProPILOT Assist are standard. ProPILOT Assist 2.1 is a separate available feature in the Platinum Technology package, with compatible-road and driver-attention limits.
What the 2026 announcement does—and does not—show
The U.S. announcement supports the new feature and package details, the three AWD trims, and their stated MSRPs. It does not, by itself, prove that the 2026 Murano costs the same as a comparable 2025 model. Canadian pricing and timing are separate and should not be inferred from these U.S. figures. Pricing, offers, and inventory may change.
