The redesigned 2026 Nissan LEAF starts at a $29,990 announced MSRP for the S+ grade. That is not the out-the-door price: Nissan lists $1,575 for destination and handling, and taxes, title, license, options and dealer pricing can raise the final cost. The SV+ is $34,230 and the Platinum+ is $38,990.

Nissan North America announced these U.S. prices on August 19, 2025. The range figures are Nissan estimates for each grade, not guaranteed real-world distances.

What the $29,990 starting price includes—and excludes
The $29,990 figure is the S+ manufacturer’s suggested retail price, not a promise that a dealer will sell the car for that amount. Nissan’s price table lists $1,575 for destination and handling. Its launch release says MSRP excludes destination and handling, tax, title, license and options; the dealer sets the actual price. Location, selected equipment and dealer pricing therefore affect the amount due.

For the SV+, Nissan lists a $300 battery-heater option. Check the dealer’s quote and the vehicle’s window sticker for the specific configuration and charges rather than treating the announced MSRP as a complete purchase price. Nissan’s pricing table and launch release provide the published price details.
How the three grades compare
S+: lowest MSRP and longest estimated range
The S+ is the entry grade at $29,990 and carries Nissan’s highest range estimate, 303 miles. Nissan lists a 12.3-inch display for this grade. The 303-mile figure is an estimate, not a universal real-world promise.

SV+: middle price, shorter estimated range
The SV+ has an announced MSRP of $34,230 and estimated range of 288 miles. Nissan lists dual 14.3-inch displays on the SV+ and Platinum+, and a $300 battery-heater option for the SV+.
Platinum+: highest price and lowest estimated range
The Platinum+ is priced at $38,990 and has Nissan’s lowest grade-specific range estimate, 259 miles. It also has dual 14.3-inch displays. The higher grade price does not correspond to a higher range estimate.

Nissan describes the 2026 LEAF as a third-generation redesign with crossover styling, a 75-kWh liquid-cooled lithium-ion battery and a 214-horsepower electric motor. Nissan’s launch release reports EPA-estimated combined city/highway efficiency of up to 131 city and 111 highway MPGe for the 2026 model; those figures should not be read as applying identically to every grade. What to know about the LEAF’s charging ports
Nissan says the 2026 LEAF has a J1772 port for home charging and many public Level 2 chargers, plus a NACS port for compatible public fast-charging stations. Before relying on a particular charger, confirm that its connector and network work with the car and that the station is available.

Nissan says compatible Level 3 charging can take the battery from 10% to 80% in 35 minutes, with charging capability up to 150 kW. That is a manufacturer-stated figure for compatible equipment; charger compatibility, conditions and vehicle use can affect the actual session and time. Nissan also says Plug & Charge is available after activation; its pricing release notes subscription and activation requirements. Public-network access, availability and terms may change. These are Nissan-listed accessories; the table does not establish whether a specific third-party adapter listing fits or suits a particular charging setup. Verify connector direction, vehicle fitment and charging use before purchasing an adapter.

What Nissan says about the price
Vinay Shahani, Nissan senior vice president of U.S. Marketing and Sales, said the company had “kept the LEAF’s price steady over three generations” while adding style, technology, features and range. That is Nissan’s promotional characterization; the published grade prices and the added charges described above are the concrete figures to use when evaluating a quote. The statement appears in Nissan’s pricing announcement.
