Lotus’s 2026 Emira lineup adds V6 SE and Turbo SE versions, with the Emira Turbo becoming the range entry point. Lotus lists the V6 SE from £96,500 in the UK and €117,500 in Germany. The company also describes cooling, climate-control and transmission refinements—but its announcement does not establish either a year-over-year price increase or lower CO₂ emissions for 2026.
What changed for the 2026 Lotus Emira?
In an announcement issued on 5 June 2025, Lotus introduced the Emira V6 SE and Turbo SE and made the Emira Turbo the entry model in the range. Lotus said the cars were available to order, with a showroom debut scheduled for September 2025. Its published prices and specifications were correct at the time of announcement and subject to change.
The announced mechanical and climate-control updates apply to the range. Lotus says it changed cooling-system routing to improve flow to the transmission oil cooler and main radiator, recalibrated the air-conditioning controls, and changed the thermostat’s opening temperature from 65°C to 75°C. It also says the dual-clutch transmission (DCT) was recalibrated for quicker shifts and improved shift quality. These are manufacturer-described changes, not independent test results.
Two new paint colors were announced: EOS Green and Purple Haze metallic. Color availability may differ by market and configuration.

How much does the 2026 Emira cost?
Lotus’s 5 June 2025 announcement gives starting prices for the V6 SE in two markets:
| Market | V6 SE starting price |
|---|---|
| United Kingdom | £96,500 |
| Germany | €117,500 |
These are regional launch prices for the V6 SE, not a universal price for every Emira variant or market. The announcement does not provide an equivalent prior-model-year price baseline, so these figures alone cannot show that the 2026 Emira became more expensive. Which versions and equipment did Lotus announce?
V6 SE
Lotus describes the V6 SE as having a 400 hp, 3.5-litre supercharged V6. The announcement says it is available with a manual transmission or an optional automatic. It does not provide a complete, like-for-like equipment and price comparison with the other announced trims.
Turbo and Turbo SE
The Emira Turbo becomes the range entry point, and Lotus also announced the Turbo SE. The cited announcement provides that lineup context but not enough detail here to make a full trim-by-trim comparison of their specifications, prices or intended use.

Did the 2026 Emira get lower emissions?
The available Lotus announcement does not claim a measured MY26 CO₂ reduction or compare 2026 emissions with the previous model year. Lotus’s model page carries the launch-era claim that CO₂ emissions start below 180 g/km, but does not identify that figure as a 2026 improvement. It therefore does not substantiate describing the 2026 Emira as greener than its predecessor.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. What the announcement does—and does not—establish
- Established: Lotus announced V6 SE and Turbo SE variants, made the Turbo the range entry point, and described cooling, thermostat, air-conditioning and DCT refinements.
- Established: The V6 SE launch starting prices announced for the UK and Germany were £96,500 and €117,500, respectively.
- Not established: A year-over-year price increase, because the announcement supplies no comparable prior-year baseline.
- Not established: Lower MY26 CO₂ emissions, because the cited material supplies no measured reduction or like-for-like comparison.
Lotus Managing Director Matt Windle called the Emira “the most accomplished Lotus road car ever to roll through the Hethel factory gates.” That is Lotus’s promotional assessment, not an independent ranking or test result.
