The 2026 Jeep Recon is an all-electric, open-air SUV that Jeep says combines 670 horsepower and quick acceleration with its Trail Rated off-road credentials. Jeep also publishes charging estimates of 52 hours on a 120-volt outlet, 6.8 hours on a 240-volt Level 2 charger, and 28 minutes on DC fast charging—all for a 5–80% charge. Those are manufacturer figures, not independent test results; charging equipment, conditions and vehicle specifications should be confirmed before purchase.
What is the 2026 Jeep Recon?
Jeep presents the Recon as an all-electric SUV designed for open-air driving and off-road use. The automaker calls it the only fully electric vehicle of its kind to wear a Trail Rated badge. That exclusivity and the vehicle’s capability description are Jeep claims, not independent findings.
Jeep’s product pages describe the Recon as a production vehicle, but also caution that production specifications and features may vary. The pages reviewed do not establish an EPA range or efficiency figure, a final independent technical specification sheet, or independent road-test measurements.
What performance figures has Jeep published?
Jeep’s currently displayed 2026 model page lists a maximum of 670 horsepower and 0–60 mph in 3.6 seconds. These are manufacturer-published figures; the available sources do not provide independent verification or test conditions.

What does Trail Rated mean on the Recon?
Jeep says the Trail Rated badge is earned through tests in five fields. The company does not provide specific test thresholds on the cited product page, so the badge description should not be read as a substitute for vehicle-specific operating limits.

How long does the Recon take to charge?
Jeep estimates the following times to charge from 5% to 80%. They are manufacturer estimates, not independently measured results; actual charging depends on the vehicle, charger and conditions.

Jeep describes a dual-level combination cord for home charging. It also identifies two Qmerit installation routes: a NEMA 14-50 outlet for Level 2 charging, or a residential 48-amp Level 2 charger rated up to 11.5 kW. Confirm the Recon’s included equipment, connector or adaptor, circuit capacity and installation requirements with Jeep and the installer before arranging a purchase.

Public charging access
Jeep directs owners to Free2move to find and pay for public charging stations. Its BEV information says Stellantis is adopting the North American Charging Standard (NACS) and that Recon drivers will be able to use Tesla Superchargers. Confirm current network access, timing and any adaptor requirements with Jeep before relying on that access for a trip.
What open-air and off-road design features does Jeep highlight?
Jeep’s design page describes quick-release door hinges, removable windows and a Sky One-Touch power top. These features support the Recon’s open-air positioning, although buyers should confirm the exact equipment on the trim they order.

For the Moab trim, Jeep lists 18-inch aluminum wheels and standard 33-inch tires. Jeep calls that the largest standard tire size among segment EVs; the comparison is the automaker’s claim.

What should buyers verify before choosing a Recon?
Jeep’s displayed price information is time-sensitive and not consistent across the cited page content: the current model page lists a $66,995 starting MSRP and a $69,585 as-shown price, while another page contains older-looking copy referring to a $65,000 starting price. The figures may reflect different updates or vehicle configurations, so they should not be combined or treated as current quotes. Jeep says MSRP excludes taxes, title and registration, and that prices and offers can change. Check the live build page and obtain a dealer quote for the exact trim and equipment.
- Confirm the trim’s delivered equipment, including charging hardware and removable-body features.
