It starts at $58,690 with front-wheel drive (FWD) or $60,090 with all-wheel drive (AWD), including Lexus’s $1,550 delivery, processing and handling fee. Whether it is the lineup’s “sweet spot” depends on which features and powertrain you actually want.
What does the 2026 Lexus TX 350 Standard cost?
Lexus USA’s 2026 model-year price list gives the TX 350 Standard an MSRP of $58,690 for FWD and $60,090 for AWD. Those figures include the $1,550 delivery, processing and handling fee, but not taxes, dealer charges or the actual transaction price. They are listed prices, not dealer quotes. Lexus’s 2026 TX release lists the following prices for the U.S. lineup:
| 2026 TX grade | Drivetrain | Listed MSRP, including $1,550 DPH |
|---|---|---|
| TX 350 Standard | FWD | $58,690 |
| TX 350 Standard | AWD | $60,090 |
| TX 350 Premium | FWD | $61,290 |
| TX 350 Premium | AWD | $62,890 |

| TX 500h F SPORT Performance Luxury | AWD | $75,160 |
| TX 550h+ Luxury | AWD | $81,060 |
The direct same-drivetrain comparisons show the size of the step up: Premium FWD costs $2,600 more than Standard FWD, and Luxury FWD costs $4,950 more. For AWD buyers, Premium is $2,800 above Standard AWD and Luxury is $5,150 above it. Standard AWD itself costs $1,400 more than Standard FWD.
What does the base TX 350 give you?
Turbocharged gas power
Lexus rates the TX 350’s 2.4-liter turbocharged inline-four at 275 horsepower and 317 lb-ft of torque and pairs it with an eight-speed Direct Shift automatic. Those figures apply to the TX 350 gas model; they are manufacturer specifications, not independent performance measurements. The engine is offered with either FWD or AWD.

Trail Mode is standard on TX 350 AWD. These specifications describe the equipment and system design, not a guarantee of performance in a particular driving situation.
Three-row capacity and everyday technology
Lexus reports 20.2 cubic feet of cargo capacity behind the third row, 57.4 cubic feet with that row folded, and 97 cubic feet with both the second and third rows folded. The captain’s-chair setup includes heated and ventilated seats, and a slide-assist walk-in mechanism eases access to the third row. What is the difference between Lexus TX 350 Standard and Premium?
The clearest confirmed differences in Lexus USA’s 2026 model-year release are the grade names and prices. The release text does not provide a complete Standard-versus-Premium equipment matrix, so it does not establish every feature added by Premium. Lexus says NuLuxe synthetic leather is standard on Standard, Premium and F SPORT Handling; TX 350 Luxury uses semi-aniline leather.

A 2025 Lexus brochure describes Premium features including power-folding third-row seats, ventilated front seats, driver memory settings and a panorama glass roof. Because that is prior-model-year material, it is not confirmation that those features are included on a 2026 Premium. Use the current 2026 specifications and the exact vehicle’s window sticker to compare equipment before paying the $2,600 FWD or $2,800 AWD Premium step-up.
How does the TX 350 compare with the hybrid and plug-in hybrid?
The TX 350 is the gas-powered choice, not a lower-priced version of either electrified system. The 2026 TX 500h is an AWD hybrid with 366 total system horsepower. The AWD TX 550h+ plug-in hybrid has 404 total system horsepower; Lexus projects 33 miles of EV range and describes an approximately three-hour charge under ideal conditions using 240V Level 2 charging. These are Lexus-published specifications and estimates. The lineup’s listed MSRP places the TX 500h F SPORT Performance Premium at $72,010 and the TX 550h+ Luxury at $81,060.

Consider the electrified models if their powertrain, projected EV range or charging capability suits your use. The TX 350 makes more sense if you specifically want the gas engine and do not need those systems; the price difference alone does not establish which model will cost less to own.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. When is the base TX 350 the sweet spot?
Standard is the strongest value case when your priorities are the TX’s three-row utility, its turbocharged gas powertrain and a lower starting MSRP—and you can skip higher-grade equipment. FWD is the lowest-priced route. If you need AWD, compare Standard AWD with the same-drivetrain Premium and Luxury prices rather than comparing an AWD upgrade with an FWD trim price.

Before choosing a grade, work through these questions:
- What is the out-the-door price? Compare dealer quotes, including taxes and charges; MSRP alone is not the transaction price.
- Do you need AWD? Standard AWD costs $1,400 more than Standard FWD at listed MSRP.
- Which Premium features matter to you? Confirm each item on current 2026 specifications and the vehicle’s window sticker rather than assuming prior-year equipment carries over.
- Would Luxury’s materials and equipment justify its added cost for you? Lexus specifies semi-aniline leather for TX 350 Luxury, compared with NuLuxe on Standard and Premium.
- Do you want F SPORT Handling’s styling and chassis equipment? Its $67,760 listed MSRP is for AWD; weigh its specific equipment against your preferences.
- Would a hybrid or plug-in hybrid better suit your use? Compare the TX 350’s gas powertrain with the TX 500h and TX 550h+ systems rather than treating them as trim upgrades.
The base model’s “sweet spot” status is therefore a buyer-specific judgment, not a conclusion established by a road test or independent value study. Lexus’s published prices and specifications support the case for Standard when its equipment and gas powertrain match your needs; they do not prove that every buyer should choose it.
