RX 350: gasoline, with a front-drive choice
The RX 350 is the only version in this lineup offered with front-wheel drive. Lexus also offers it with AWD. Its estimated combined fuel economy and listed acceleration differ by drivetrain, so use the figure for the configuration being considered.
RX 350h: conventional hybrid
The RX 350h is AWD and does not plug in. Its 246 net combined horsepower and estimated 36 mpg combined make it the conventional hybrid choice for shoppers who want a hybrid system without planning to charge the vehicle from an outlet.

RX 450h+: plug-in hybrid
The RX 450h+ is the plug-in model. Lexus estimates 38 miles of electric driving range under the EPA estimate and 85 MPGe combined. Those are estimates, not a promise of the distance or efficiency every driver will achieve.
RX 500h: highest-output performance hybrid
The RX 500h F SPORT Performance is the lineup’s highest-output version, with Lexus reporting 366 total system horsepower and 406 lb-ft of torque. Those specifications alone do not establish real-world acceleration, handling or fuel economy.

What is new for the 2026 Lexus RX?
Lexus’s August 22, 2025 release calls the changes “small spec enhancements for the new model year.” It identifies three updates:
- A Premium grade joins the RX 450h+ lineup.
- The Appearance Package becomes available on F SPORT Handling and F SPORT Performance models. Lexus describes it as black exterior styling details, 21-inch black-finish split-five-spoke wheels, orange brake calipers and a black interior with gray stitching.
- Wireless phone charging becomes standard across the RX range.
What equipment and safety features does the RX offer?
The RX seats five. Lexus lists a standard 9.8-inch touchscreen, an available 14-inch touchscreen and a standard 12.3-inch multi-information display. Lexus also describes wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. Equipment varies by grade and option package, so a feature shown in manufacturer imagery should not be assumed to be standard on every trim.

Lexus says Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 is standard throughout the 2026 RX lineup. Its listed driver-assistance features include:
- Automatic high beams.
- Pre-collision system with pedestrian detection.
- Full-speed dynamic radar cruise control.
- Lane tracing assist and lane departure alert with steering assist.
- Road sign assist and proactive driving assist.
These are assistance systems with operating conditions, not autonomous driving. Consult the vehicle’s owner information for system limits and how each feature works.

What are the 2026 Lexus RX dimensions?
Lexus lists the RX at 192.5 inches long with a 112.2-inch wheelbase. The cited model information does not establish detailed cargo measurements, so buyers who need a specific cargo capacity should check the specifications for the exact configuration with Lexus.
How does RX 450h+ charging work?
Every 2026 RX 450h+ includes a dual-voltage charging cable for 120V and 240V outlets, and the vehicle uses a J1772 (Type 1) socket. Lexus estimates a full charge in approximately two and a half hours only with 240V power at maximum current, ideal conditions and the standard 6.6-kW onboard charger. Charging time on a 120V outlet or in other circumstances is not established by that estimate. Since Lexus includes a cable, an additional J1772 cable is relevant as a spare or replacement, not an item every buyer needs to purchase.
