The U.S.-market 2026 Honda Accord is a refreshed model year, not a full redesign. Its main updates are more standard technology on the LX and SE, plus appearance changes on selected trims. Honda lists six trims, with prices from $28,395 to $39,495 before destination, and both turbocharged and hybrid powertrains.
What changed on the 2026 Accord?
Honda’s December 18, 2025 announcement focuses on trim-level equipment and styling rather than a new engine lineup or a major redesign. The headline upgrades are the larger touchscreen and wireless phone features on the LX and SE.
- LX and SE: A 9-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, and a Qi-compatible 15-watt wireless phone charger are now standard. Honda says the display is almost 30% larger.
- SE: New five-spoke 19-inch alloy wheels and tires replace the smaller wheels; Honda describes them as two inches larger.
- Sport Hybrid: Gains black exterior accents, including black window trim.
- Sport Hybrid and Sport-L Hybrid: Receive black decklid badging.
Honda did not announce a performance retune or a changed engine lineup. These are equipment and styling updates, not evidence of a new-generation Accord. Honda’s 2026 announcement describes the changes.
2026 Honda Accord prices and EPA fuel economy
The following are U.S. manufacturer’s suggested retail prices and EPA estimates published by Honda on December 18, 2025. The MSRP column excludes destination; the second price adds Honda’s separately listed $1,195 destination charge. Both exclude taxes, license, registration, options, and color upgrades, and dealer prices may vary.

Honda presents EPA ratings for comparison; real-world mileage varies with driving, maintenance, conditions, battery age, and other factors. Among the listed trims, the EX-L has the highest combined estimate at 48 mpg. The Touring is the most expensive trim by MSRP, but price alone does not determine which version is the right fit.
Powertrains and performance figures
LX and SE: 1.5-liter turbo
The LX and SE use a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder rated by Honda at 192 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 192 lb-ft of torque from 1,700 to 5,000 rpm. A continuously variable transmission (CVT) is standard. Honda says its Step-Shift programming simulates gear changes at full throttle.

Sport, EX-L, Sport-L and Touring: hybrid
These four trims use Honda’s two-motor hybrid system, rated at 204 horsepower and 247 lb-ft of torque in total. Honda says the system does not use a traditional transmission or CVT to drive and generate power: the two motors provide direct-drive force transfer, while the gasoline engine operates in some conditions. Honda also describes Linear Shift Control as simulating a speed-linked engine-rev feel. Those are Honda’s descriptions of the system, not independent road-test findings.
No independent driving test or instrumented acceleration results are available here, so the published horsepower and torque figures should not be read as proof of a particular acceleration time or driving experience.

Technology, trim equipment and safety
The new standard touchscreen, wireless phone integration, and wireless charger apply specifically to the LX and SE. Other equipment varies by trim. Honda’s build-and-price page highlights leather-trimmed seating, parking sensors, a driver memory seat, and heated side mirrors for the EX-L. For the Touring, it highlights Google built-in, a head-up display, Bose premium audio, and a heated steering wheel. Start with the powertrain and the equipment you actually want, then compare the destination-inclusive prices and EPA estimates in the table. The LX and SE are the turbo choices; Sport, EX-L, Sport-L, and Touring are hybrids. The SE adds larger wheels and the new wireless technology, while the EX-L and Touring offer the equipment Honda specifically highlights above. The EX-L’s 48-mpg combined estimate is the highest listed, while Touring has the highest MSRP.

Honda also reported that hybrid-electric Accords accounted for more than 50% of Accord sales in 2025. That is Honda’s figure for Accord sales in that year, not a statistic about the broader U.S. market.
