The 2026 Genesis GV70 is a substantial redesign rather than a routine model-year refresh. Its defining change is a single 27-inch OLED panel that combines the digital instrument cluster and infotainment system, while revised lighting, grille, bumpers, wheels and driver-assistance technology modernize the rest of the compact luxury SUV. Genesis introduced the North American version in November 2024 and said redesigned GV70s would reach retailers during the first half of 2025.
Is the 2026 GV70 a redesign or a facelift?
Genesis describes the 2026 GV70 as the model’s first redesign. The GV70 debuted in December 2020, and Genesis said in 2024 that more than 200,000 had been sold worldwide since its launch. That makes the 2026 vehicle a first-generation replacement with extensive visual and electronic updates, not a new nameplate or a completely different vehicle architecture.

What changed outside?
New grille and lighting signature
The front end receives a dual-weave G-Matrix Crest Grille and Two-Line headlamps using micro-lens-array (MLA) technology. The two-line lighting theme continues at the rear, where the turn signals were moved and reshaped to improve visibility.

Reworked lower body and wheels
Genesis widened the front air ducts, fitted a more pronounced skid plate and introduced redesigned 19-inch wheels. The rear spoiler incorporates a digital center-mirror camera module, integrating the camera hardware into the exterior treatment instead of leaving it as a separate add-on.
How large is the new GV70 screen?
The cabin’s centerpiece is a 27-inch OLED display arranged horizontally across the dashboard. It integrates the instrument cluster and infotainment functions in one panel rather than using separate screens. Genesis says the system supports a connected-car integrated cockpit, cloud-connected profiles and routing, dynamic voice recognition, over-the-air updates, and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
The screen is only one part of the interior revision. The 2026 GV70 adds touch-type heating and air-conditioning controls, new mood lighting and a redesigned steering wheel. North American materials include available Nappa leather and Bang & Olufsen audio; the U.S. product guide specifies a 16-speaker Bang & Olufsen system on designated trims. Equipment and screen availability can differ by country and trim, so a local specification sheet matters when comparing vehicles.

Engines, transmission and capability
The U.S. 2026 Genesis GV70 product guide lists two turbocharged engines. Both use an eight-speed automatic transmission.

The guide lists a maximum towing rating of 3,500 pounds when the trailer has its own brakes. That is the published maximum; actual allowable trailer weight can also depend on equipment, passengers, cargo and local requirements.

These figures come from the U.S. product guide and describe total listed volume with the rear seat in place or folded. They do not establish the shape or loading convenience of the cargo floor, so shoppers carrying tall or bulky items should verify fit at a retailer.

Voice and connected features
Genesis highlights expanded voice control for functions such as the climate system and windows, improved over-the-air updating, Digital Key and second-row Smart Key access. Cloud-connected profiles and routing allow vehicle settings and navigation information to follow a user account, subject to regional service availability.

The revised GV70 adds steering-wheel hands-on detection and an improved Lane Following Assist system. Remote Smart Parking Assist is upgraded with forward-to-back, parallel and diagonal parking functions. A new Terrain Mode offers settings for snow, mud and sand.
These are assistance systems, not autonomous driving. Their operation can be limited by road markings, weather, sensors, traffic and local regulations; the driver remains responsible for monitoring the vehicle.

When did the redesigned GV70 arrive in North America?
Genesis unveiled the redesign in Korea in April 2024 and presented the North American version in Los Angeles on November 19, 2024. The North American announcement said both GV70 variants would arrive at retailers in the first half of 2025. Genesis said production is split between its Montgomery, Alabama, facility and Ulsan, Korea.
“Both variants” refers to the four-cylinder and V6 versions described for North America. Retail timing, inventory and equipment can still vary by dealer and market.
What is known about 2026 GV70 pricing?
The official documents identified for this model do not publish a current U.S. MSRP table. Pricing, incentives, destination charges, dealer-installed options and availability therefore need to be confirmed with a local Genesis retailer. Do not assume a price or trim package shown for another country applies to the United States.
How the 2026 GV70 compares with an earlier GV70
The practical differences are concentrated in the areas most visible from the driver’s seat and most noticeable in daily use:
- Display and controls: the separate instrument-and-infotainment approach is replaced by a 27-inch integrated OLED layout, with revised climate controls and voice functions.
- Exterior identity: the dual-weave grille, MLA Two-Line headlamps, revised lower front end, new wheels and aligned rear signals create a visibly updated design.
- Power: the published U.S. choices remain a 300-hp 2.5T four-cylinder and a 375-hp 3.5T twin-turbo V6, both paired with an eight-speed automatic.
- Utility: the guide lists 28.9 cubic feet behind the rear seat, 56.9 cubic feet with the rear seat folded and up to 3,500 pounds of braked towing.
- Assistance: hands-on detection, revised Lane Following Assist, expanded remote parking and Terrain Mode add functions not defined by the screen alone.
- Ownership decision: local price, incentives, inventory, trim content and dealer support remain market-specific and must be checked locally.
What to check before buying
- Confirm whether the vehicle is a U.S.-specification GV70 and identify the exact engine, wheel size and trim.
- Verify that the 27-inch OLED display, Nappa leather and Bang & Olufsen audio are included on the specific vehicle rather than merely available in the model range.
- Ask the retailer for the vehicle’s tow equipment and confirm the 3,500-pound rating applies with trailer brakes.
- Compare the EPA rating for the actual wheel configuration: the 2.5T figures differ between 19-inch and 21-inch wheels.
- Check current MSRP, destination, incentives, delivery timing and software or connected-service terms with the local Genesis retailer.
