The updated Genesis Electrified G80 pairs a larger 94.5 kWh battery with manufacturer-claimed range of up to 354 miles (570 km) on the WLTP test cycle, plus a more spacious cabin and a new 27-inch display. Those figures describe the refreshed car in markets including the UK, Germany and Australia; they are not real-world or EPA range results. The U.S. Genesis model list reviewed for 2026 does not include the Electrified G80, so its U.S. availability remains unconfirmed.
What is new on the updated Electrified G80?
Genesis presents the refresh as a longer-range, roomier and more luxurious version of its electric luxury sedan. The documented changes include a fourth-generation 94.5 kWh battery in Australia, increased interior space, updated exterior detailing and a 27-inch display. Genesis does not quantify the cabin-space increase in the cited product material, so there is no verified legroom or wheelbase change to report here.
Exterior and cabin updates
Genesis Germany describes a redesigned G-Matrix patterned Crest Grille, Micro Lens Array lighting, revised air intakes and an electrically operated heated charge port. Its product page also highlights the 27-inch display and increased interior space. These are manufacturer descriptions, not independent assessments of materials, usability or passenger comfort.
What the refresh means for buyers
The changes strengthen the G80’s appeal as a spacious, technology-focused luxury sedan, but they do not establish how it drives. No verified road-test impressions or independently measured range results are available here, so handling, ride quality and real-world efficiency should not be treated as proven improvements.

How much range does the 2026 Electrified G80 have?
Official figures vary by market presentation, but the UK, German and Australian Genesis pages all state a maximum WLTP range equivalent to roughly 354 miles or 570 km.

These are manufacturer-published, standardized WLTP figures, not guarantees of distance in everyday driving. Genesis notes that actual range can change with driving style, speed, weather, load, accessories, battery condition and use of vehicle features. The UK’s 3.4 mi/kWh and Germany’s 18.1 kWh/100 km are different unit presentations; compare them only after conversion and with the same test basis. None of these figures is an EPA rating.

How long does the Electrified G80 take to charge?
Genesis UK says charging from 10% to 80% can take 25 minutes when using an 800 V, 350 kW ultra-rapid charger. The car can accept up to 183 kW in optimal conditions, according to the same market page. A charger’s headline power does not guarantee that rate throughout a session: battery temperature, state of charge, battery condition and charger capability affect charging time. Genesis specifically cautions that cold temperatures and battery-protection behavior can lengthen it.
Genesis Australia describes a 400 V/800 V multi-charging system and battery conditioning. In that market, conditioning can activate when a fast charger is entered as the navigation destination or be controlled manually. Availability and operation of this feature should be checked against the vehicle’s local specification.

What is the Electrified G80 like inside?
The clearest cabin update in the available specifications is the 27-inch display, alongside Genesis’s claim of increased interior space. The latter matters especially in a large luxury sedan, but the manufacturer material cited here does not provide a measured rear-seat gain. Genesis Motor Deutschland characterizes the updated car as traveling farther, offering more interior space and being more luxurious; that is the maker’s product positioning, not an independent verdict.
Genesis Australia also lists vehicle-to-load (V2L), which can supply power to external devices through a 250 V adapter. The Australian page gives an operating window of 20–100% battery charge. Confirm local equipment, adapter compatibility and operating limits before relying on V2L for a particular device.

Is the 2026 Genesis Electrified G80 available in the United States?
The Genesis USA lineup page reviewed lists a 2026 G80 and Electrified GV70 but not an Electrified G80. That omission means U.S. availability of the refreshed sedan is not confirmed by that page; it does not prove the model is discontinued or rule out a future listing.
The same U.S. page says 2026 Genesis Electrified vehicles have NACS ports and describes Tesla Supercharger access and upcoming IONNA network access. Because the Electrified G80 is not listed there, do not assume those connector or network details apply to a U.S.-market G80 without model-specific confirmation.
Which market specifications should buyers use?
Use the figures and equipment published for the country where the vehicle will be sold and registered. WLTP range, charging equipment, included services, trim names, taxes and fees can differ by market, and the UK and German prices above are not directly comparable. Buyers considering another luxury EV should also compare range on the same test cycle, battery capacity on a consistent gross-or-usable basis, charging assumptions, passenger and cargo practicality, and local connector and network support.
