When did the 2026 BMW M2 CS come out?
BMW’s U.S. announcement, dated May 27, 2025, said production was scheduled to start in August 2025 and deliveries were expected in Q3 2025. The release is a dated plan; it does not establish when a specific car reached a dealer or whether one is available now.
BMW describes M2 CS production as limited but did not give a U.S. production quantity in the announcement. Tom’s Guide reported an as-tested price of $108,275 for the configuration it reviewed on October 4, 2026. That figure is for that reviewed car, not a universal price or a current offer for every M2 CS. Options in BMW’s U.S. release included M Carbon ceramic brakes for $8,500 and BMW Individual Velvet Blue metallic paint for $3,000; prices and paint availability can vary by market and ordering period.
What are the M2 CS engine and performance figures?
BMW specifies a 2,993 cc S58 3.0-liter inline-six producing 523 hp at 6,250 rpm and 479 lb-ft of torque. The engine’s stated redline is 7,200 rpm. BMW’s prose and specification table give different torque availability ranges, so an exact torque band is not quoted here.

Power goes to the rear wheels through a standard eight-speed M Steptronic transmission with Drivelogic. BMW quotes 0–60 mph in 3.7 seconds, 50–75 mph in 3.4 seconds and a 188 mph electronically limited top speed with the standard M Driver’s Package. These are manufacturer figures; they are not independent test results.
How is the CS different from a standard M2?
BMW says the CS is 97 pounds lighter than the standard eight-speed M2, crediting carbon-fiber-reinforced plastic (CFRP) parts and standard forged M alloy wheels. It is lowered by 0.2 inches and receives model-specific spring, damper and control-system tuning.

BMW’s U.S. launch release listed Black Sapphire metallic, Brooklyn Grey metallic and Portimao Blue metallic at no extra cost. BMW Individual Velvet Blue metallic was a $3,000 option in that release. Paint availability and pricing can differ by market and ordering period.
