The 2026 Alfa Romeo Tonale is returning to the U.S. with updated styling and a gasoline-only powertrain. Alfa Romeo lists a 268-hp turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder, nine-speed automatic and standard all-wheel drive; Stellantis announced a starting MSRP of $36,995 in November 2025. The plug-in hybrid is not part of the 2026 U.S. lineup.
What’s new on the 2026 Tonale?
The refresh centers on a revised front end. Stellantis says the concave Scudetto grille draws inspiration from the 33 Stradale, while more pronounced trilobe air intakes give the fascia a more aggressive look. Alfa Romeo USA also highlights new trim details and exterior colors. The U.S. model page cautions that some images show European vehicles and that North American models may differ, so pictured details should not be taken as confirmation of U.S. equipment.
Stellantis describes the Sport Speciale as a limited edition. Its release also cites a reduced front overhang, wider tracks, updated black-and-silver badges, available red leather, and an eight-color palette that includes Rosso Brera, Verde Monza, and Giallo Ocra. Which U.S. Tonale trims and equipment are listed?

Is the hybrid or plug-in hybrid available in the U.S.?
No. Alfa Romeo’s U.S. FAQ says the 2026 Tonale is not offered in the United States with a hybrid or plug-in-hybrid powertrain. The international Tonale page lists diesel, mild-hybrid, and plug-in-hybrid variants, but those are not the U.S. 2026 offer.
