The 2025 Toyota Tundra TRD Rally is an off-road equipment and appearance package for the SR5, not a separate trim grade. It adds trail-oriented hardware—including Bilstein shocks, skid plates, an electronically controlled locking rear differential, and Toyota’s Multi-Terrain Select and Crawl Control—along with distinctive red, orange, and yellow graphics. MotorTrend’s published test put its nonhybrid test truck at $62,397, including an $8,660 Rally package price at the time; that is model-year test context, not a current dealer quote. The Rally makes a case as a less expensive way into substantial off-road equipment, but whether it is worth the premium depends on the exact truck’s price and how much you value its equipment and styling.
What the TRD Rally package adds
Toyota introduced the Rally package for the 2025 model year on the Tundra SR5. It draws on Toyota’s Baja racing heritage with red, orange, and yellow exterior graphics and matching heritage-color interior accents. Toyota describes the cabin as SoftTex-trimmed. The package also includes 18-inch TRD off-road wheels with distinctive center caps, all-terrain tires, Bilstein shocks, and skid plates. Toyota’s 2025 model-year announcement and 2025 Tundra eBrochure identify the equipment; availability can vary by grade and package.
The Rally’s functional equipment includes an electronically controlled locking rear differential, Multi-Terrain Select, and Crawl Control. Multi-Terrain Select lets the driver adjust wheelspin management for different surfaces. Crawl Control is a low-speed off-road cruise-control function that manages speed while the driver steers. Toyota also describes Downhill Assist Control as helping limit descent speed; confirm its availability on the specific SR5 you are considering rather than assuming that every Tundra has the same off-road features.
These features give the Rally meaningful trail-oriented equipment, but they do not make it a TRD Pro. Toyota’s lineup has grade- and package-specific hardware, so comparisons should be made against the actual SR5 or Pro configuration rather than by transferring one model’s equipment to another.

Powertrain and MotorTrend test results
Toyota lists the standard i-FORCE twin-turbo V6 at 389 horsepower and 479 lb-ft of torque for the 2025 Tundra. The available i-FORCE MAX hybrid is rated at 437 horsepower and 583 lb-ft. These are Toyota’s powertrain figures, not Rally-specific test results.
MotorTrend’s April 18, 2025 test used a nonhybrid SR5 TRD Rally with a 10-speed automatic. In its instrumented testing, that truck reached 60 mph in 6.1 seconds and covered the quarter-mile in 14.5 seconds at 95.9 mph. Those results describe the publication’s tested configuration; they should not be assumed for every cab, bed, drivetrain, or powertrain combination.

Price and whether the Rally is worth it
MotorTrend reported an $8,660 Rally package price and a $62,397 MSRP for its test truck. In that 2025 comparison, the publication placed the Rally below a TRD Pro starting price near $75,000 at the time and characterized the Rally as a less expensive route to substantial off-road equipment. Those are published model-year and test-context figures, not current pricing or a promise of what a dealer will charge.
The value case depends on what the specific truck includes and what you want from it. Compare the Rally with a standard SR5, an SR5 equipped with TRD Off-Road equipment, and a TRD Pro on the same practical terms:

The Rally is a middle-ground proposition in MotorTrend’s comparison: more trail-oriented equipment than a basic SR5, at a lower published price point than the TRD Pro comparison, without establishing that it matches the Pro’s capability on difficult terrain. There is no direct comparison test in the cited evidence to support that stronger claim.
Fuel economy and daily driving
For the nonhybrid test truck, MotorTrend cites EPA estimates of 17 mpg city, 22 mpg highway, and 19 mpg combined. Those are EPA estimates for the tested nonhybrid configuration, not observed real-world mileage and not a rating for the hybrid. MotorTrend identifies the test truck’s tires as 265/70R18 Michelin LTX Trail all-terrain tires and expects the package’s tires may reduce fuel economy further; that is the publication’s expectation, not a measured Rally-versus-standard-SR5 result.

Toyota lists maximum Tundra lineup figures of 12,000 pounds of towing capacity and 1,940 pounds of payload. These are lineup maxima, not guaranteed ratings for a Rally. Actual towing and payload limits depend on the vehicle’s configuration and equipment. Before towing or loading, check the truck’s certification labels, owner documentation, and Toyota’s specifications for that exact configuration; do not use a lineup maximum as the rating for a particular vehicle.

Safety, warranty, and ownership details
Toyota says all 2025 Tundra models include Toyota Safety Sense 2.5, with pre-collision, full-speed dynamic radar cruise control, lane-departure alert with steering assist, lane-tracing assist, road-sign assist, and automatic high beams. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are available rather than universal, so verify the equipment on the individual truck.
Toyota’s 2025 model-year announcement lists a 36-month/36,000-mile basic warranty and a 60-month/60,000-mile powertrain warranty. It also lists ToyotaCare scheduled maintenance and roadside assistance for two years or 25,000 miles, whichever comes first. Confirm current terms and vehicle-specific coverage with Toyota.
Who should consider the Rally?
The Rally is worth a close look if you want an SR5 with a factory-installed set of trail-focused hardware and prefer its distinctive graphics and cabin accents. It is less compelling if you do not value those details, rarely leave pavement, or find that the package pushes the specific truck’s price too close to a better-equipped alternative. Compare actual equipment and written prices, rather than deciding from the Rally name or a model-year headline figure alone.
