The 2025 U.S.-market Toyota Corolla gas sedan starts at a Toyota-listed base MSRP of $22,325 for the LE and tops out at $28,040 for the XSE. Its four gas grades—LE, SE, FX special edition and XSE—share a 169-hp 2.0-liter engine and Dynamic Shift CVT; they differ mainly in styling, equipment and estimated fuel economy.
2025 Corolla sedan prices and estimated MPG
Toyota’s U.S. consumer model page lists these base MSRPs and estimated city/highway fuel-economy figures for the gas sedan:

These are Toyota-listed base MSRPs, not dealer transaction prices or out-the-door totals. Toyota’s September 19, 2024 announcement said the prices excluded a $1,135 Dealer Processing and Handling fee and were subject to change. Taxes, registration, dealer-installed accessories, local inventory and negotiation can affect the final amount. Check the specific car and dealer for a current quote. Toyota’s 2025 model-year announcement and U.S. Corolla model page are the cited price sources.
Toyota’s announcement gives the LE an estimated 32 city/41 highway/35 combined MPG. The consumer page lists city and highway estimates for each grade; a combined figure for the other grades is not stated here.

What changes between the Corolla grades?
The gas grades share the same headline engine and transmission. The main differences are wheels and exterior treatment, screen size, and trim-specific equipment.

LE: the efficiency-focused entry grade
The LE has 16-inch steel wheels and an 8-inch multimedia touchscreen, with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. Toyota lists the highest estimated city and highway figures in the gas-sedan range for this grade.
SE: sport appearance, with a screen upgrade available
The SE adds sport styling and 18-inch graphite-colored alloy wheels. Toyota lists the 10.5-inch multimedia screen as available rather than standard on this grade.

FX: the distinctive special edition
Based on the SE, the FX adds lowering springs, an FX-enhanced rear spoiler, 18-inch satin-black alloy wheels with machined accents, black exterior accents and Moonstone sport fabric seats with orange stitching. Its 10.5-inch screen is standard. Toyota says the electric power steering is tuned for a sportier feel.
XSE: upper-grade features and paddle shifters
The XSE has 18-inch graphite-colored alloy wheels and a standard 10.5-inch multimedia screen. Toyota also specifies paddle shifters and ten preset ratios for this grade.
Engine, transmission and chassis
Every grade in this U.S. gas-sedan comparison uses Toyota’s 2.0-liter Dynamic Force four-cylinder DOHC 16-valve engine with Dual Variable Valve Timing with intelligence. Toyota lists output at 169 horsepower and 151 lb-ft of torque. The transmission is Toyota’s Dynamic Shift continuously variable transmission (CVT), which uses a gearset as a first gear for launch before handing off to the CVT pulley system.

The Corolla sedan uses Toyota’s TNGA-C platform, with MacPherson-type strut front suspension and an available multi-link rear suspension. Toyota’s cited announcement does not establish that the multi-link setup is standard on every grade, so check the equipment details for the particular car.
Available options and exterior colors
Toyota identifies a Qi wireless charger, Blind Spot Monitor and power tilt/slide moonroof as available upgrades. The equipment depends on grade, package and individual vehicle configuration; verify the window sticker or build sheet rather than assuming an option is included.
Listed exterior colors include Blueprint, Wind Chill Pearl, Ice Cap, Ruby Flare Pearl, Underground, Classic Silver Metallic, Celestite and Midnight Black Metallic. SE and XSE offer selected two-tone combinations. Toyota names these FX combinations: Midnight Black Metallic, Ice Cap with a Midnight Black Metallic roof, and Underground with a Midnight Black Metallic roof. Safety features, warranty and ToyotaCare
Toyota says Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 is standard on the 2025 Corolla. Features named in the announcement include Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist and Proactive Driving Assist; the announcement describes Obstacle Anticipation Assist and Deceleration Assist within Proactive Driving Assist. Toyota’s September 2024 U.S. announcement specifies a 36-month/36,000-mile basic warranty, a 60-month/60,000-mile powertrain warranty and corrosion coverage for 60 months with no mileage limitation. It also states ToyotaCare scheduled maintenance for two years or 25,000 miles, whichever comes first, plus 24-hour roadside assistance for two years with unlimited mileage. Confirm coverage for a specific vehicle in its warranty booklet.

Toyota’s newsroom vehicle page provides 2025 Corolla photo and video assets, while its model page lists downloadable product specifications and pricing resources. Use Toyota’s 2025 Corolla newsroom page for official media and check each image’s trim and color caption before using it. A photo labeled Corolla may depict a different grade—or a hybrid, hatchback, Corolla Cross or GR Corolla—rather than one of the four gas sedans covered here.
Which 2025 Corolla sedan grade fits?
- Choose LE if the lowest listed base MSRP, 8-inch touchscreen and highest estimated city/highway MPG in this gas-sedan lineup are priorities.
- Choose SE for sport styling and 18-inch graphite-colored alloy wheels, with the 10.5-inch screen available.
- Choose FX for its distinctive wheels, lowered suspension, orange-stitched seats and standard 10.5-inch screen.
- Choose XSE if you want the upper grade’s standard 10.5-inch screen and Toyota-specified paddle shifters with ten preset ratios.
Before comparing dealer offers, confirm the vehicle is a gas sedan, then check its grade, installed options, color, fees and final price. Corolla Hybrid models and the Corolla Hatchback, Corolla Cross and GR Corolla are separate vehicles and are not part of these prices or specifications.
